Cobra Guzzler HD -vs- Mothers -vs- Megs

Bobby, if you like the HD, you will LOVE the Mothers!

Jim,

I'm going to see if I can pick up one of these locally and test it out. It sounds like a great towel deserves a test drive! :props:

The Mother's WW looks very nice. Going get a few WW on my next order.

Well I had a chance to try both Mothers Performance Drying Towel and the Megs Water Magnet.I washed my and my fiance's car in the garage with ONR.
I noticed right away that the Mothers Performance Drying Towel is thicker than the Cobra Guzzler HD.If I had to guess how much thicker the Mothers is compared to the Cobra, I would guess it is at least 50% thicker but not quit double the the Cobra.
The Mothers at first picked up water just as good as the Cobra Guzzler HD but it seemed(IMO) that once the Mothers got a little wet, then it really was soaking up the left over ONR.I take this experience as it being a new towel.I dried my Chrysler 300 with the (1) Mothers Performance Drying Towel.
I also noticed when drying that the Mothers Name tag is sewed on the drying towel and I was careful in not running across the vehicles surface doing so.If it is safe or not,I wasn't taking chances.
The Cobra Guzzler HD is more pliable (fold-able),but would chalk that up as it being thinner than the Mothers Performance drying towel.
I'm washing the drying towels as I type this and will see if the stiffness of the Mothers will soften up a bit after a couple washes.

My final opinion is the Mothers Performance Drying Towel is a EXCELLENT drying MF indeed. The cost is less expensive than the Cobra Guzzler HD.The Mothers Performance Drying Towel is also a bit bigger than the Cobra Guzzler HD.

Very good review! Do they sell these locally?

Excellent review! I would like to get one on my next order, but not sure if this is the same towel that you reviewed:
Mothers Ultra Soft Drying Towel has a foam core wrapped in microfiber to quickly towel-dry your vehicle after washing.

The description and photos suggest that it is the same towel, but it is called "Ultra Soft Drying Towel" instead of "Performance Drying Towel." So, not sure if this is the same one that you reviewed, or not. I did notice that one of your photo's showed a label on the towel that said "Utra Soft Drying Towel," so I am hopeful that the towel in the above AG link might be the same as the one that you reviewed.

When I searched Mothers Performance Drying Towel on AG,thier was no performance towel listed.Another AG forum member told me to try the "Performance"drying towel.
Thou that does look like the same one.
Amazon has a good price on them but also has free shipping on orders over $25.I don't think AG will price match Amazon.

They are indeed the same. Chris, it will get more pliable after washing IME. Did you wipe or blot.

BTW the labels are soft. I didnt try to remove them Also AG wont match Amazon.

Wheel and Jamb Towel? I thought that's what Costco MFs are for?

I have three of the original Cobra WW towels and the green satin started getting snagged/torn away from the towel not long after using them; I was a little rough probably. Yet, they advertise not to snag, which I guess only applies if you stick to gentle drying. Have they improved the cobras in that aspect and do the mothers ww have any problems with the edging? I would buy the mothers just cause they are more for your money. I paid about $20 a towel for the cobras about 5 years ago; which sucks looking at the prices of most drying towels now days.
