Anyone here have unusual pets?

I got a white canary for Christmas. I love it. Never really thought of a bird as a good pet but it flies around my apartment all day, takes bird baths and tries to eat my bonsai tree. His name is Whitey Birdger. If he was more like a parrot I might take him detailing with me but this guy would take off.

How about a Savannah cat? It's a cross between a Serval and a domestic cat. They act more like a dog than a cat and like to swim. I'm not a pet person but I want one.

Weird, I've never been a cat person either but that sounds interesting. Cats can be so weird. I'm big into animals in general so I like em just couldn't own one. I have a Border Collie that rocks. He's smarter than I am, granted that's not saying much.

I have an English Cocker Spaniel that plays chess. He's not very good though. I can beat him 2 out of 3. :D

My huskie likes wearing sun glasses, and loves ice cream, and steals our pizza when we are not looking! His name is bobby!!

My roommate had a husky when my border collie was a puppy. Bad influence!

yea our husky is a little out of it! i read this article that huskies have this thing that they like to pretend to do things humans do. like he sits on couches, lays on the bed, sits on the tables chairs, likes to sit on the driver seat, hes just random!

oh buddy make sure you make a wise decision about getting a husky... its a dog that requires alot of care, and when i mean alot i mean A LOT!!! brush him daily, make sure he gets exercise very often, walk him daily, make sure he dosent get hot, and most of all... be prepared to have hairs everywhere for the rest of your life!

Yea, we are prepared here! We've always owned beagles and basset hounds but its time for something different...

Luckily, I work at petsmart in the petshotel (joke if you want, lol) so I'll be bring him/her to work to play with the other dogs in day camp. Plus, they are so darn cute as puppies, lol.

Yes they are.... This was him when he was about 3 months! I hope you have luck finding one!

We have three cats, the older two are sisters and are pretty lazy and of course there's Chewie the Wonder Cat, he's a nut and will eat anything.

I use to have an Iguana. Started out all cute and stuff when I got it...about 4 inches long. By the time I got rid of it a few years ago it was over 2 feet long. They are just disgusting animals and not friendly really at all (at least mine wasn't).

Now I have two dogs a Weimaraner named Kaia and a Doberman/hound mix named Sookie. Here's a couple pics

Kaia when she was a pup

This was what was left of one of their beds...left them home out of their crate for an hour...

We have a pibald dachshund. Loves to go for rides around town. If I put on my cap and jacket, he's at the door waiting to go along. Has to have the window down whether its cold, raining, or what, but if it's nasty, he won't put his head out, but it still has to be down. He has more toys than most kids, balls are his favorite. He really likes basketballs, but he bites holes in them. Don't know how he gets his mouth open far enough to do it, but he does. His name is Patches, AKA doghead, dogbreath, mutt, and on rare occasions, #!@%###!

My cave dwelling/trail blazing girl with a boy's name beagle mix (Jack) is somewhat unusual.

And I am not certain but I think her sleeping habits are somewhat unusual too.

+1 on the Savannah. I love animals and I'm especially fond of cats. There so interesting to watch. I know a breeder in PA I'm strongly considering this purchase. Savannahs can run up to $20,000 for a F1. This woman I met sells them much cheaper. She is very picky about who she sells them too though.

I saw this video posted on a friends Facebook wall a while back and it made me REALLY want one. :)
