Xbox 360 died last night ):

I seem to remember 360 has to be repaired for free if it gets the ring deal (overheated).

That's what I thought too.

OP, even though the warranty is over, it will still cover the 3-rings of death. MS set aside $1 billion, dollars for this problem. They wanted it to go away.
 
I guess I'm lucky. I had my ps3 since day one and never had any problems.

I'm wanting a new one anyways, so if the fix doesn't work I'll buy a new one. This fix is better than what MS does to them anyways. The solder they use is cheap and cracks again over time. Had mine fixed like 1.5 years ago.
 
Without starting a fire here.. get a ps3! Far superior in every aspect if you ask me. I had one of the first 40gb model ps3's then sold it because I really needed the cash. Got a 360 pro 5-6 months later.. Had my fun with Forza and Fable II. Decent system, never had RROD or any other problems except for it being loud as hell all the time.

Ended up trading it straight up for an 80gb backwards compatible PS3. Which I hear is a hot item for people who want a PS3? Either way, best system to date. Love the controllers, blu-ray, its quiet, it looks good, etc.

Oh and I also have Move which I love. Great motion tracking, superb! Played Kinect numerous times at Best Buy and other stores and the sync was ALWAYS off so it really put me at a bias against it. A buddy of mine has Kinect and says his is synced perfect. Also at the new Microsoft store at the mall of america they have 4-5 of them all synced perfect. To childish of graphics in my opinion though. But hey, Wii is still fun :)
 
I'm a 360 fanboy lol. I've had the original and 360. I have had xbox live for 5 years and all my friends have it, so no changing me! Haha

Right there with you. I've had live since the day it debuted. I never play my video games anymore but I support it over the ps3 everytime. Xbox live and kinect are things that playstation can't touch.

Definitely try, worst thing that happens is they tell you its an error and you dont get charged anything. Push though to fight saying they should honor the price! I would so pick up another one if I had a spare HD tv laying around.

Well i placed my order already got my confirmation via email! I meant what if something is wrong with the system? They have to send it to me regardless if it was an error or not. It was the price shown and I agreed to buy it. Also saids they out of stock and will ship when they have more. So until they ship it thats when i get charge. So they better ship it this week!!
 
Just placed it.. LOL. I wonder which PS3 it is? I have a FAT 80gb backwards compatible.. like the cream of the crop ps3!
 
....also.. this is like an ultimate fail on Amazon and Targets part. We better get our ps3's!!!

The original PS3 is worth more and better than the slim one. I still got great DBZ games for ps2 since they dont make them no more.

I agree. I have 4 usb ports and 3 different card readers. And full backwards compatibility.... and the best part about it... I traded a standard 60gb PRO 360 straight up for it. Haha sucker!
