What's the learning curve vs. 3401? If it's possible to graduate from a 3401 to PE14-2-150 with causing damage I'll get one!

I just received mine today. It is light alright...Nice machine, I am eager to try it out. At least I have two machines with comparable features (Makita 9227 and Flex PE) and hopefully work will pick up so that I can put them both to use.

I have a Griot RO from two years ago, which is alright but it has a fixed 5.5" backing plate. I decided to get a flex3401 which so far is nice. Just have to keep it from dancing at times.

My understanding is that this machine has a standard rotary output shaft and thread, so all your backing plates, adapters, etc. will work as they would with any rotary.

My understanding was that only the first 50 polishers would ship with a CoA, and after that the production number of the machine you receive would not be guaranteed in numeric serial-number order.
