Blackfire (or any product) Curing Time?

Hey guys, trying to learn about curing times and what some techniques might be?

I'm looking at using the Blackfire Wet Diamond as a sealant and then debating over Pinnacle SS II or Midnight Sun as a topper...thoughts?

But my question is the curing Blackfire talks about/recommends. They say wait at least 8 hours between each layer (of both products too). Do you guys apply and remove and then start the clock? I ask because I know some friends and have read post that apply and leave the product on over night. Is that a better way, or does it do anything for ya? If you leave it applied, does that count as the curing time and thus the next layer could be applied right after removal?

BWD and MS is called Fire and Ice..great combo. I think SS II over BW would be just as good. It's all in the prep my friend on how your final finish is going to look. A wax or sealant is just protecting the final look from polishing. Yes, it may add 10% to the looks, but polishing is the most important step in getting a deep wet look. It doesn't matter if you remove BW right away or leave it over night..the clock starts when you apply it.

I spoke with the people at properautocare and they told me that because it has Polycharger you can let it cure for about 4 hours and that would be fine. However I always just let it cure overnight before doing anything else.

Off topic here, but does anyone know why the Midnight Sun is out of stock just about EVERYWHERE ? I was looking to pick some up.

I like to apply 3 coats of BFWD and what I do is apply a coat, let it haze over. Then buff off and wait an hour (I work on the interior or wheels and wheel wells in that time) then apply another coat let haze over and then buff off. I then leave the car to sit overnight and the next day apply one more final coat, let it haze over and buff off.
I don't get any streaking and the durability is great.

Off topic here, but does anyone know why the Midnight Sun is out of stock just about EVERYWHERE ? I was looking to pick some up.

Get Pinnacles SSII .. you will be glad you did. Wolfgang Fuzion is another choice but a bit more expensive. Dodo Hard Candy is another great find.

Blackfire Wet Diamond Wax is another good product. I've tested it in the past and it performs well. It goes on easy with my dual action polisher and wipes off cleanly with a microfiber towel.

That said, I do not think it performs any better than the products available through Autogeek. I think it's on par with Pinnacle Souveran Liquid Wax but not quite a glossy in my opinion.

Your comparing a wax to a sealant..Menzerna Power Lock would be a closer comparison to Blackfire.
