Just got my autographed FLEX no. 58. TOTALLY STOKED!
Thanks Max!
... and tried it out yesterday on a rental car I had for the night.rops:
Ha!
I think detailing a rental car is a sign of a serious addition.
Well, since this was my first time using a rotary from a porter cable DA, I wasn't going to use my car or a customer car.. Just did the hood and trunk to see how the new rotary felt in my hands. Could pass up the opportunity to try it last night.
I have #27. Let me ask you a question. When I used mine yesterday, at times it didn't want to start. I push in the trigger and won't turn on? after a little bit it started, but this happened about 6-7 times within a 1 hour period. Have you had any issues?Camaro... what number do you have ? I think i'm going to start a thread asking everyone what there id no. is for there Flex![]()
#27 unlucky number

I've never experienced this with mine, it's worked flawlessly to date. Also on Saturday and Sunday, it was tested, or tortured, (pick your favorite term), by the students in my class. Each person that attended used my new Flex on both days, I made 100% sure everyone had a chance to buff with it on both days and on Sunday it was used all day for compounding with wool pads and polishing with foam pads and not a single glitch.
If there's any kind of problem with it at all it's likely a fluke and we will take care of you. Call Dwayne tomorrow and I'm confident he will go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure your 100% satisfaction.

Mike,
I think it might be a electrical issue maybe with the trigger. I did notice that with just a few minutes of use, it was warmer then I thought and think it might be a internal over heat protecter. I called Dwayne earlier today and he is sending me a RMA, so I can return to them. Sucks it will take two weeks thought.

I hope you get to keep your low serial number. Let us know how this comes out. From the limited use I gave it the other night I felt like this thing is a tank. There are always a few glitches, especially with the first run; but that's why I purchased from AG - they will take very good care of us.

Love the backing plate you see in the last few pictures too...
