hello everyone.
New to this forum. I'm in PA and looking to start my own detail business. I've loved detailing cars all my life and now I'm off work with an injury, I have a chance to attend Detail Kings classes. Anybody else that have attended let me know on your opinions.

Thanks

Anybody here ever attend Detail King's classes in Pittsburgh? Just wanted to see what your opinion was, and whether it's worth the money to attend.

Thanks

I attended one of their classes back in 2003. At that time, it was a (2) day class. The first day was all classroom with an emphasis of the business end of detailing. I really learned a lot about how to set up a business as well as how to promote yourself. The second day was all hands on in the owners detail shop. The only thing about the class that I didn't like, was the fact that the class was broken up into (2) groups. One group was instructed in how to detail the interior of the car, and the other was instructed in how to detail the exterior of the vehicle. At least in the class that I attended, I was only permitted to detail the interior, not the exterior. That was kind of a let down because I assumed (never assume) that I was going to learn how to do both.

Now, I must stress the fact that this was in 2003!!! That was 8 years ago, things may have changed since then.

All-in-all, I did learn a lot there and the owner is very knowledgeable about the business. You will definitely learn how to start up a detailing business and how to market yourself as well as how to detail a car to a high standard.

Hope this helps!

Tom
