Turbo Jet? When I hear Turbo Jet - I think of Turbo Prop ..... is that what you're talking about?
turbojet is basically the original jet engine - intake, compression, explosion, propulsion out of a nozzle.
turboprop is similar, but the last stage, where it would go through the nozzle for propulsion on a turbojet, has turbines connected to a shaft that harness that propulsion and via the shaft go to a reduction gear box to turn a prop (propeller) in the front of the engine.
then you have a turbofan, which is sort-of a combination of the above two, but without a prop and gear box...but a big fan in front that helps with propulsion in combo with the nozzle.
