Had some time Saturday to remove the water spots from the glass on my 09 Nissan Titan. The rear windows were really bad with water marks. The front windshield wasn’t as bad, but needed a good polishing.
Process/Product:
· Taped
· Cleaned w/ Stoner Invisible Glass
· PC 7424 w/ glass cutting pads w/ Duragloss Nu-Glass
· Cleaned again w/ Stoner

Thanks for looking!

I'm gonna try some nu-glass. I found out XMT 360 cleans glass some, but it also kills an orange CCS. Makes the pad look like a huge mushroom. LOL

Nice work! :props: So if I used LC flats on glass it will damage the pads?

I have used them on glass with no issues. They do not have the cut as a glass purposed pad.

The glass looks great. Is the final step really needed? Sound like an over kill.

thanks you! and yes i think it is needed. for some reason waterspots love the glass so im hoping that this will help from happening again. this is the second time i have done this, first time by hand, this time by machine. (guess which way is easier and quicker:buffing:) so im trying to prevent it from happening again. any suggestions slimnib?

thanks guys!

Nu Glass is a super glass cleaner for light to medium water spotting.

looks great man! First time I ever removed spots like this from glass was by hand and it took a LONG time!!! My fingers hurt for days lol! Turned out really good man :dblthumb2:

I have water spots like that on my Durango and had to use bar keepers friend to remove them. I will have to check out those cleaning pads. Great job.

Nu Glass is a good product. I got a bottle from the local CarQuest and liked it so much I went over to the Duragloss factory in Burlington, NC (20 minutes from me) and purchased a gallon of it.

If you have problems finding a store that sells it, PM and I can send you a sample for free.

this thread makes me want to buy those lake country glass pads. They are reasonably priced and all. I've tried lc orange pad and meg ultimate compound on a few windows. I think i see a difference. On some windows more than others. I noticed on the last car I did the uc polish seem to streak oil bit, it was drizzling.

Its rare for me to polish windows. Clay and IPA seems to get water spots out just fine followed by rain-x.

I'm not in any way saying that Barkeeper's friend won't work, but if you decide to go this route, be sure to apply in a small area first. I scratched my glass pretty bad using this highly abrasive cleaner.

Your glass may be different, but try a small spot first.

thanks!

and yes, me too. it is not fun by hand. machine is def the way to go. just tape up the edges though cause the PC slipped on me on the first window and the tape saved the paint from getting nicked. i was more careful after that
