Drywash - A day in the life of B & B Tennessee

OK here are some pics of first shot with the dry wash. Look at the two pics of the black sail panel on my camaro NO SCRATCHES... I say this stuff is awsome.

B&B,

I may have missed it,

but what do you charge for a dry wash on say the Mazda and two Fords?

I am at about $25-$40 depending on size and such and I traditional wash them which takes usually an hour or 90 minutes or so.

And how many $100 - $150 jobs are you able to do every month?

Just curious to see where other detailers are at in dfferent locations.

For exterior only - anywhere from 25 to 75 - depending on size/location/quantity of vehicles (bulk is cheaper).

normally 125 for exterior/interior without carpets....

Normally takes me an hour a ride by myself ext-in and out windows- and vacuum, but I like to have one of my guys with me so I can take the time to talk to other customers walking by or because my phone is always blowing up(1/2 an hour with both of us per car). Good money in it man - much rather do these 4 days a week and a polish job 1 day a week.

My goal is to have 30 + a day lined up a couple days a week - and have all 3 of my guys out there plus myself knocking them out..... this is where the money is (with cars). The rest of the week I want filled with RVs , buses, aircraft - . I am not a fan of paint corrections..... spend the entire day making maybe 120 after taxes, products, employee (if can afford to bring one for a correction). But that doesn't mean I would turn one down either - I can make 2 to 3 times as much spending the day on a bus or rv (less picky too) - .

Guess what - forgot my camera...... but knocked out 6 basic drywashes and an in/out detail (no polish). I am pooped :surrender:.

Todays fun...... A Cesna 310 , once again I have forgotten my camera but one of my guys snapped a couple of shots with his phone..... so not the best pics but something lol!

Took this before removing excess polish with Prist..... I do these by hand when possible..... These were done by hand and my fingers are sore like always lol!!!

Again sorry for the poor quality pictures lol!

Look what i found on drywash! According to the guy it made the paint feel like sandpaper a few days later!

LOL!!! Man - that was a horrible response. If only I wasn't using this stuff for a year now and had no complaints lol! You know how many cars I do a week and how many are regular customers!?!?!?! Search all you want..... maybe the guy used the stuff wrong, who knows?!?!?! All I know is that I have been very successful using it and have had no complaints. But feel free to find complaints..... doesn't keep me from using it lol.... plus complaints from over a year ago, find me 10 % of complaints compared to the number of cars I have done with it and I will quit using the dry wash method with this product. So in the past 9 months...... maybe 200 to 250 "cars or trucks" and 100 to 150 RVs with this product.

Research your products bro but don't make me look like I am damaging paints with comments you find on the World Wide Web... Thanx man :dblthumb2:

Plus: How old are you?!?!!? If I toss you a bone, don't ask me how it tastes..... if you don't like it go your own way...... but don't tell everyone else it tastes bad becuase you read it on an other forum..... why don't your try it for yourself and make your own opinion?!?!?!!?

Ok well first of all, that's not even the same product that he uses. That's the most important part.

The one he uses contains kaolin clay and carnauba wax. Please note that Chemical guys has two waterless wash products, both are different formulas and the product Anthony uses isn't specifically branded Chemical guys, but as he has said is most likely the same product with a different label (the one that contains carnauba and kaolin clay).

Also, if you look at the standard and quality of work that he produces I doubt he'd keep using a product if it made the paint feel like sandpaper after a couple of days and caused the car to be covered in some sort of chemical condensation.

I especially doubt that his customers would keep coming back if it made their paint look like that.

PM me if you want to know the difference between the two CG waterless products.

The liquid is fairly viscous and blueish green, which means that it traps itself in all the nooks and seams and you really have to work to get it all out.

This alone tells me the guy complaining in the linked post has no clue. You don't spray it in the nooks & seams in the first place!! To be fair I have not used that particular product. This comment alone makes me question the competence of the user and I seriously question the outcome.

I did a drywash on my wifes car on sunday and it is still shiney and clean. I think this stuff does great on windows I did my camaro the other day and showed my friend. The first thing he commented on was how shiny the windows were he thought I polished them.

I split an order of the product that Anthony uses with Audilover (Mike). It's coming in next week and am really looking forward to giving this a test run. If I'm happy with the results it's definitely going to be used when I'm working mobile!

I've never used it on windows lol.... I'll have to try it - always used glass cleaner.

Sounds like you aren't charging enough for corrections.

No - I do man...... just I include ALL expenses fuel, products, take out about 20 - 30% for taxes ..... it all adds up quick - the downside of being legit lol!

Ah that makes sense now. When you said you were only getting $120 I was thinking that was really low for a paint correction. But your factoring in everything and taking your taxes out it too. Gotta love the IRS!

And your right about testing the product out for myself. If your using it with great results, I take your word that it's a good product. However, before I put anything into my arsenal I will personally test it out first and make my own opinion. I'm not going to dog you for using it if I end up not liking it. Your customer's are happy and your doing well for yourself and that's what matters!

I tried it on my T-tops so I just kept going and used it on all the Glass on the car. :)

I'm legit too, and pay taxes. I still make WAY more than that on a full correction. I'm not going home with less than $750 if I'm doing more than one step, thats just the way it is.

I'm not saying that to sound like a stuck up ass, just saying you should charge more for work like that. Obviously not everyone will pay it, but a lot will.

I have tested this stuff on a couple of panels of both my metallic grey civic and my black MDX and on both panels the shine is awesome. Only reason I havent done the whole car is because its been snowing and raining for the last couple of days. But I for sure vote this product good.
