Duragloss Users/Enthusiasts

Funny that you had already started this thread rwright, I am actually looking to add some Duragloss products to my arsenal and was about to start a thread on it. You saved me the time. So, now I just need to read through the 4 pages of comments here and pick out what I want to order.

Just order everything, they don't make any bad products :props:

Thanks for the advice! For roughly $350 I could buy 1 of every DG product that AG sells...but I'm not looking to spend that much at this moment. I already placed 1 order today with AG and spent $120. Need to calm my spending some...but when I can get free shipping I have to spend at least $95! :props:

LOL, I was only joking. My favs from them are 901 Soap (my favorite soap ever and it's cheap) and then the 105,501,601. Those all IMO are must haves!

Richard, I know I'm going to get a thorough lashing for this, and I probably deserve it, but here goes any way...

The only two DG products that I have used is AW and car wash...and love them both:props:

:dunno: I know, I know I need to try some others, just haven't gotten around to it yet :o

I love the Aqua Wax, Rain Repel, All Wheel Cleaner, Car Wash Concentrate, and their Detail Spray. I have the Total Performance Polish, but have not tried it yet.

I like their Car Wash Concentrate 901. I'm one of those proponents of allot of slippery foam and suds to loosen and dissolve the surface contaminates. Duragloss 901 does just that and leaves my sealants and wax where they belong, on the paint.

I've read allot of posts talking about Duragloss Aquawax 951 and would like to give this a try to see how it compares to Optimum Spray Wax and Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax that I currently use.

It only shows how some are more worried about the brand it is rather than how it works.

Al, I couldn't agree more!

This is why I promote Collinite 845 as one of the finest waxes on the market today. For Performance and Price there's nothing out there that comes close.... In my opinion of course..:props:

I'm glad to see there's still a lot of interest in the DG line. It does not get promoted really, other than by word of mouth by satisfied users. That message can get drowned out by all the hype surrounding the newest of products to hit the market. DG's stuff just plain works and is very reasonably priced...what more can you ask for? They are working on new products too, but nothing gets released unless it is up to the very high standards as the rest of the line.
These are the products I have from them and continue to use after years:
901 (a 5 gal pail)
501
105
601
AW (all of the above bought by the gallon)
221 Leather conditioner
281 Tire Dressing
271 Flat black and trim dressing (by the gallon)
471 Bug Remover (by the gallon)
481 Wax Eraser
921 Fast Clean and Shine (by the gallon)
505 Water Spot Remover
371 Odor Eliminator
451 Foaming Fabric Cleaner
681 Plastic Lens polish
751 Rain Repel
755 Nu Glass

The only product I have tried that I will not buy again is the All Wheel Cleaner. It's not b/c it was a bad product, I have just found that Zep Citrus cut 4:1 was just as effective for most jobs as the 821 AWC was. For nasty jobs, I have to break out the Megs WB or Carbrite Acid anyway. Zep is cheaper and available locally. Other than that, I have started using the OB tire dressing and it is really nice. Everything else on that list I regularly keep in stock. They all work well.

:wow:I think Richy might be a candidate for the TV show "Hoarders"...:poke:

Ehh, you've seen his house - he can hold that much product x 1000. :D

BTW - Richard, I use Aquawax. Haven't tried anything else by DG.

DLB

Rich pig...

531, best UV for weatherseals IME
601, 501 & 105 best wheel sealant combo
AW

Thanks for the responses everyone! Looks like the majority reach for car wash concentrate and aqua wax, very good products in deed. Thanks for chiming in Richy.

As for the durability vs. Zaino I honestly can't say, I've never used Z2 and don't plan too. If someone is feeling froggy and has some Z2 laying around, why not do a test on say your trunk lid? Maybe put Zaino in the middle and DG 105 on one side and DG 111 on the other. This will allow you to do a side by side using 2 DG products vs. Zaino. Maybe split that in half horizontally and boost the DG products with 601 and Zaino with ZFX. I honestly think you would get bored with the test before either would quit working. :)

ok Richard,I read this earlier and was convinced that I needed to try something.Stopped by my local auto parts store and picked up some 901 car wash.It quit raining a little bit ago so went to the shop, broke out my new foam gun some 901 and HOLY FOAM BATMAN! I love this stuff! 901 cleans very well smells great too! This IS a must have wash! I'll be trying some other Duragloss products in the very near future. :dblthumb2:

Thanks for posting this thread Richard!

I'm a fan of many of the DG products. 601,105,501,AW, 111. However there is one product titled on the AG website as Duragloss Tire & Rubber MAT Dressing (#253) which I thrilled about. It's real name is Duragloss Tire & Rubber Dressing. Do not use this product on a walking surface. It will make the surface very slick. If you use it on your floor mats it will transfer from your shoes to the gas and brake pedals.

Now this may be very good for tires and other rubber but I haven't tried it on those yet. AG has removed the mat usage stuff from the website but they haven't change the title of the page. So it may be a little misleading.

Can you get 901 in a 5 gallon pail direct from duragloss?

Just wanted to bump this thread in case someone missed it. Have a few products to send out.
