So what's your extremes for temperature range on leaving your products outside in the cabinet?

I know paste waxes aren't to susceptible to damage from freezing, but other stuff is. So obviously no brainer on just bringing them in in the winter. But how about summer? Do you guys have an upper temperature limit on your stuff?? Especially the expensive pastes? Seems like hot would be a factor?

since I dont have a functional shop yet, all my products are inside my house, spent to much on them to let weather ruin them before I can use em :)

All my stuff stays in the garage year round. It very rarely gets below 40 degrees in there, and never below freezing and I've never lost a single bottle of product yet (knock on wood).

I left my products in the back of the truck twice this winter when it was freezing temps..... I lost a couple of bottles of Instant Shine (sprayed funky) and some tire shine gel that looked horrible when trying to use it lol! Luckily that was all - - - - - everything else survived and works great :xyxthumbs:

Charlie's mentioned about the minimum temp finish products should see. I've accidently left a few products in the garage over the winter and some survived and some didn't.

These products are expensive and needlessly throwing them away is just a waste of good product and cold hard cash....

How about hot temps...that's mainly what I asked about anyways.

+1 Hot temps COOK my garage in summer. Should I set aside interior space to keep them from damage?

How hot are we talking? 100? 110?

For the most part as long as your products are in sealed containers/bottles you should be alright; you just don't want water or other liquid ingredients to evaporate and escape from the bottle before you can reconstitute them into whatever the product is (by shaking the bottle before opening it).

Yep, ambient between 100-110 in the Sacramento Valley during the summer. My uninsulated or cooled garage must get at least that hot. Thanks for the info. Everything stays sealed when not in use. :xyxthumbs:

I find a dark cabinet outside of huge temp swings is the best for long term product storage.

My shop is conditioned year round. I keep it to about 60oF during the colder months and about 80 when it is 100+ outside during the warmer months. It is fully insulated including garage door.

im also curious about this but on the cooler end of things. our temps drop to around 0 or +1 degrees during nights in the winter. would it be ok to have my products in my trunk at that cold consistently?
