Hello,
I'm from Des Moines, IA and have been reading (and watching videos) on AGO since last summer. Decided it was time to finally sign up.

I'm about to take the plunge and start working on my two cars with many of the tips I've read here. I have a 2005 Black Ford Escape as my guinea pig and a 2011 Black Toyota Camry. 2 black daily drivers=needing lots of TLC on a frequent basis. :)

Once I've mastered some basics, I hope to make my dad's two vehicles shine. A red Dodge Ram and a 1977 Orange Plymouth Roadrunner. Both are in good shape, although I know he washes the Roadrunner with Dawn dishsoap...

Looking forward to talking detailing with you all.

Best regards.

The 2005 BLACK Ford Escape will make a GREAT Training Car!

Wow! That will be a fun car to buff out... does it still have the original single stage paint?

:)

Hey Trevor, :welcome: To Autogeek Online!!

Both are in good shape, although I know he washes the Roadrunner with Dawn dishsoap...

Then you don't have to worry about wax buildup after all this time!!

You'll like it here. Autogeek Online is a great way to learn, contribute, practice those skills and teach others...:props:

I'm pretty sure the roadrunner was repainted sometime in the late 80's/early 90's. I'll make sure to ask before I go messing with it. ;)
