I hated it but I had to trade in my F150 for something that would get better than 16mpg. I got a 2011 Fusion with all the goodies and is delivering 24mpg in town with a V6 that will break the tires loose and will haul some booty. I could only get 2 pictures to upload. Hopefully I can post more tomorrow.

Nice looking car Scott! Hope you have good luck with it!!!

Thanks dad07. It took a while to get used to sitting on the ground compared to my truck but this car handles great and you can't beat navi and a 12 speaker Sony sound system.

Man I bet......I've got a truck that is my DD but when its time to exercise the mule man I have to roll in and out of that one!

The F150 was brutally fast at only half throttle but I slammed my foot in the Fusion a couple of weeks ago at 5mph and it broke the tires loose and I was at 80mph in less than 1/2 mile, it really surprised me with only a 3.0L V6 and 208cid but at 250 hp and a six speed trans Ford got it right.:dblthumb2:

My mom had a '10. Thing would scoot for a 6 banger! Very nice ride too, and kind of fun to drive. Handled well for a sedan. Enjoy it Scott, nice ride.

Thanks southern stang, it is a blast to drive. Let me know if you need any help detailing the shuttle.:dblthumb2:

Looking good!

I'll be doing the same soon. Gotta trade my 13mpg (if I'm lucky) Explorer in for something more efficient. Don't want to give up the ride height!

Did you get Sport model? We bought one last July and we really like it!!:D

Nice car! Nothing better than having some fresh paint to play with! Enjoy! :)

Hey, Scott! Maybe we can get together with a couple buddies and make the shuttle detail a party?! Lol :buffing::dblthumb2:

Shrtbull I got the sel it had more toys on it than the sport model the delaership had but I sure would heve liked to have the 3.5l V6. Plus the sport models are sweet looking.
Southernstang that sounds like a party. I hope AG has some Fuzion in a space shuttle size.:buffing:

Scott,

Good luck with the new ride! :props:

Ford's candy apple red is an absolutely gorgeous color, one of my favorites and a color that shines up beautifully! :dblthumb2:

You're right about that Bobby. What amazes me is that my F150 was the same color but this car has alot more metallic in it. Of course I'm not complaining about that.

Nice car Scott! I hear you on the bad gas mileage! My truck gets about 13mpg around town and 18mpg on the highway! And with a 26 gallon tank it's costing me a lot to fill it.

16 mpg sounds pretty good to me...

I've rented a few Ford Fusion's, I thought they were a well built car for a "new" car. Lots of room, well laid-out, very functional.

:)

The 3.5 v6 is nice. I like the 18 inch wheels too. Enjoy it, they are fun!

I just read in one of my magazines this weekend that Ford is working on a 350hp Focus. Their Euro version put out 250hp and for the US bound version they considered 300hp. That wasn't enough. :hungry:

Congrats on the new car!

:iagree: The new Fusion appears to be a homerun for Ford.

Enjoy the car Scott! :props:

Thanks everyone for the congrats on the new car. So far so good. The car has a nice sized cabin and a big trunk plus the rear seat will fold down if I need more room. What has really impressed me is the 3.0L V6. I had the same engine in a 2003 Ranger and it had no where near the performance that this car has. Also what surprised me was the amount of the equipment you can get with this car. Mine has:
navi
12 speaker Sony sound system
rain sensitive wipers
auto/manual gearbox
leather
moonroof
BLIS
cross traffic warning
rearview camera
Sync
one touch up and down windows
heated front seats
auto climate control
dual front climate control
cat back duals
rear spoiler
rear window defroster...etc:dblthumb2:
