Roll Call - What's your real first name?

Mike,

This is from daves120. Actually my first name is David but I go by my middle name: Scott. The way daves120 originated is that, as stated, my first name is David, and I own a 1937 Packard 120 Deluxe touring sedan...so daves120. Just thought you might like to know.

And where would one find this Sticky? ;)

I did find it however would this be better suited somewhere else besides "Off Topic"?

Good thinking... it would probably make sense to place it in the "Introductions" forum group here,

Introduce Yourself

Roll Call - What's your real first name?

Hi everyone,

Personal Request

I don't mind forum nicknames, but it's so much nicer to address a person as "Bill" than it is to refer to them as speeder88 or fill-inthe-blank...

I have a running list that I keep by my desk where I list a person's forum nickname and then beside it their real first name. That way when I refer to people on the forum I can refer to them via their first name which makes discussions much more personal on our forum.

So if everyone can chime in by replying to this thread with their real first name, it would help me to finish my list and also help others...

Thanks!

:agree: it was a brilliant idea.

One thing I know they do on the Adams forum is on the left side where location and number of total posts is, they also have "real name:" I'm not sure if there is a reason why autogeekonline doesn't have it but I find it useful as you can immediately reference the users real name. I believe it is a vbulletin based forum as well.
