Hey guys,

Did a quick search of this question but I didn't see this exactly. I want to order some more 105 but I see there is a new version that is "DA" friendly. I do use a DA, but I just figured out how to really get good results with the old version. How different is the new stuff?

Thanks,
Doug

I honestly didn't even know there was a new version of M105. I think you might be the first to have mentioned it.

I've been using the old formula for awhile now and get great results with it other the dusting. I've since been using the Meg UC since it has a longer working time and doesn't dust much at all. I may have to look into the new version.

I know the new version is for use with a DA polisher also. I think the first was rotorary only. I'm not 100 percent sure tho.

Yep, it's out there! I believe it was even here on Auto geek that I saw it. I here that using Gloss-it pad primer (evp) extends the working time of 105 with great results. That's why I had the question actually....if it works well with the old version then I will order that one. Hmmm?

You are 100% correct.

The newest (version 2) specifically states it is da friendly, and has an "icon" on the label that it is meant for da use.

FWIW v2 has been out for a long time, and I'd bet there aren't very many v1 bottles around anymore.

I have been using the 105 with a flex 3401 for almost a year now with great results. Hard to use in the heat of summer, but great final results even with the da.

I have and use both versions with a DA, and honestly, I see no differences. Either version will work well with a rotary or a DA.

I've been using the old version with the DA for awhile now and never had an issue. I honestly didn't even realize that it was meant for rotary use only. maybe I should read the bottle from now on...

If you are getting the results you want... any version will do.

I had the first version, didn't like it so it went in the garbage. I don't think it was out too long before they made a DA friendly version.

I have a 32oz bottle of the old version..It has maybe 2-3oz used out of it..I have a small bottle of the new version I was using but I just dont like M105 cause of how much dust it has..PM me maybe we can trade something.

Amazing how much better th stuff works by just changing the label!! :joking:
