Help!

Ford factory paint. The pad is rotating.

My advise..... tape a 15 x 15 area of that hood off. Using an orange pad and 105, put a circle of 105 around the pad and work it into the pad with ur fingers. Then use about 3 pea sized drops on speed 3 or 4 and spead on the 15 x 15 area. Turn up to speed 6 and make about 4 or 5 section passes using slow arm speed! Then since u only have a grey pad do the same with 205 and try speed 5. That should get you started in the right direction! You also need to apply some pressure to the polisher..... about 10 to 15lbs additional force while keeping that pad rotating!

Tried what you suggested. Make a small difference. The more pressure I put on the polisher the less it rotates.:buffing:

Im stumped. I feel it's a technique problem.....every paint system I have tried 105/205 has worked great. I'll send u a PM tomm.

Where do you live? Maybe one of us on here can come by and check thing out and try to help.

Tried again today. The polisher is only rotating under light or no pressure. It still is oscillating but no spinning under any sort of pressure. think there is something wrong with the polisher?

Im in Richmond Hill, GA. Very close to Savannah/Hinesville.

I know Richmond hill. I just detailed a subaru out there. I will PM you my number. I work long hours, but I will see if we can make time to get together to look at it. I will bring some other products as well.

Thanks. We just talked. We are gonna meet up this week hopefully and try to figure out what is going on.

Is it possible that the halograms were always there and you are just seeing them now under the halogen light? Just trying to figure it out is all.

I dont think that is the case. I have hand detailed this car several times under the halogen light and never saw any holograms. minor swirls but no holograms.

I just want to figure this out, makes no sense. I talked to James, we are going to meet up and try and figure out what the heck is going on.

This is really a great community, I really appreciate all the comments, advice and willingness to help.:dblthumb2:

Your either applying too much pressure or not enough. Have you marked your BP with a sharpie pen?
