I have decided after reading so many reviews on Ultima Trim & Tire Guard that I am going to buy some. I am wondering if I can use this on my vinyl convertible top or if I would be better off using 303 Protectant or Raggtopp?

Thanks

I haven't used it on a convertible top but I don't think anything would work better than UTTG. Call Sam at Ultima just to be sure or do a small test area. My top is fabric so I use 303 HTFG.

I can not answer for the Ultima, but the 303 works wonderfully on my top. The top looks new after an application.

Thanks for the replies. I have seen the 303 in person and I know that it looks great. I was just thinking that if I didn't have to have another product on the shelf it would be easier.

I know this an old thread, but I was wondering the same thing. Can you use UTTGP on a vert top and does it work good?

I figure I can clean the top with a mix of CG CW+G and Megs APC+ and then use UTTGP to dress.

I prefer to not take chances with expensive convertible tops and use:

I wouldn't use it for a fabric top, but it should work good on a vinyl vert top.

This cleaning solution sounds a little harsh to me...Is your vinyl convertible top really that dirty?

Once I've cleaned and dressed a vinyl top with the 'RaggTopp for Vinyl' products, usually my car-wash-solution is enough to further keep it clean.

Good luck with your processes/products.

It's not for me it is for a customers car that I haven't seen yet. I could always use the CG CW+G on it's own. I am trying to decide what to use on the vert top out of my stock as I don't have that many customers with verts. Actually this is the first one.

I too would stick with Ragtopp or 303, but no harm to Ultima as also a great product.
