I am planning to buy a DA polisher. I need help in deciding which one. The main concern is that i stay in India and the electricity is 240V 50~60 Hz. So any suggestions which DA i can go for. I am newbie to the detailing world.

I know the Flex 3401 is available in 240V, not sure about the others but I a sure they are.

I have the Flex and love it, very ergonomical. Wish my rotary was the same.

Thanks Troy for quick reply. I am little worried to use Flex as i am newbie to polishers and would not end up burning too much of paint in the course.

I know what you mean I'm the same way and I was looking at the PC7424XP because if you put too much pressure it stops so you do not burn the paint....but recently it was suggested to me that the Griot is a much better buy for its Power, Performance , and life time Warranty.

Something to think about.:xyxthumbs:

You are right, PC are the best for the newbie like me, but the problem is with the electric supply differences..

why you dont look at the kestrel pro6 da..has the same motor as the griots and is manufacture in europe

This may be a dumb question, but cant you buy a converter for that issue?!?!?!
not a all a dumb question, it is valid. The PC is 60 Hz whereas we use over here 50~60 Hz and this might damage the motor. We do get the converters from 110/120 to 220/240 but not the Hz.

Looks like i have only that option left out. Any reviews about that DA.
Any website which sells it online and ship international.

you may want to get it from one of the UK based dealers..one of them even come up with a compact rotary polisher which is really neat...

Then again i would advise you to get a polisher in your own country..because if you have problem with your machine you can fix it easily...i live in indonesia and bought a flex DA...it's broken now and the cost of shipping it back and forth can get me a new gg polisher ...not to mention the risk of lost shipping :(

dont you have meguiars in india ?

Hey Sulla,
What happend to your Flex3401?

@sulla,
Meguiars is not there in india. We can get Flex but very expensive almost 3 times more than Kestrel DA(Including shipping from UK).

@jimmyjam
It stops rotating whenever i crank it up to speed 6 or if i move it around.. Seems to be ic related problem..

@BHS.. Damn i dont know wth is meguiars thinking it misses such a huge market..
