OK Mike.... I've got to ask....

haha its a trend now. The newer guys using search and then bumping 2 year old threads! No worries this one is a good read.

:bump2:

Bump away, I may never have seen this post without the bump.

I always where shorts year round in my shop. I hate wearing pants while I work I get hot flashes because I'm old :)

haha this is a funny thread, I wear shorts all the time.

shorts below the knee, socks right at my knee, so showing no skin

Here in Louisisna we all wear shorts, well not the farmers they need clothing but for me in a garage at 100+ degrees your darn right I'll wear shorts, just not "Short, shorts:)

Cool thread btw, we have the right to take it easy from time to time, relax and talk about whatever.

Glad to see this thread bumped up and read about mikes accident was wondering about it but like said above I didn't know if it was appropriate to ask

everyone is different, but having a step-father that had MS and was a Quadriplegic, he always said he would rather have people ask than act like somethings not different. I once closed a mortgage loan for a Sniper trainer and after trying to keep up with his fast pace almost run through the military base I was at, he showed me both prosthetic legs. He lost them in Afghanistan. Went back 2 more times and was about to go again after I met up with him for a third WITH prosthesis, huge admiration for people that can turn lemons into lemonade.

I gotta admit I'm one of those people that try to ac like nothing's different because I really don't know there situation and how they want me to handle it, if I were in there spot I would like them to ask me and act like I'm just like them so I guess I would treat them how I'd like to be treated

Monster Mike Schultz has developed his own leg that works with his activities, as the 'regular' ones didn't work well on snowmobiles or dirt bikes.

He has overcome the adversity of losing a leg and turned it into a business of building prosthetics.

Wow! Thanks for sharing the link Randy...

I checked out the website and Monster Mike's unique design for a leg unit and now I want one.

I wonder if I can get it in polished aluminum? Going to contact him and find out.

It is amazing how he is so active and able to do pretty much anything he was able to do before his accident.

Thanks for bumping this old thread yet again, really cool read that I doubt I would have ever found without the bump.

Shorts for me too as long as I can bare the cooler temps of winter; if I lived down south like many of you, there would be very few days of pant wearing for me.

Id wear shorts 24/7 if I could. I enjoy cooler over hotter.

Nowhere near as bad as those that wear socks with flip flops.
