This is my first show and shine thread so bear with me. I got called out to do a job and had no idea how bad it was the entire car was cover in the worst holograms i had ever seen. not one inch of the car was decent. The customer told me that they had just bought it from a local used car dealer ship and the holograms were so bad she even saw them at night.

Products used:
ONR
Pro Clay Away 4
3M 05972
M105
M205
Presta Chroma Swirl remover
Automagic New Car Glaze
Meguire's Ultimate Paste Wax
Meguire's Endurance Tire Gel
Meguire's Last Touch
Meguire's All Season Dressing
Kar Kraft Onyx Bumper Coating

Process:
1. Washed using ONR and a two bucket wash.
2. Clayed with Pro Clay Away 4
3. Started Compunding with a Meguire's Soft Buff Compunding pad and 3M 05972.
4. Followed with M105 in the really bad spots (mostly hood and trunk)
5. Made another pass with Automagic New Car Glaze (has a heavy/med cut) to take out the swirls that the 3M and m105 left behind.
6. Made yet another pass with Chroma Swirl Remover. (A good swirl remover but as soon ad i use it up im getting Wolfgang's TSR)
7. Switch to a Meg's Soft Buff Polish pad and applied M205.
8. And when there wasn't a single swirl left in site i finished up with Meg;s Ultimate Paste Wax.

Total time: 8hrs

That looks nice! Must have felt good after all that long hard work! Thanks for the pics!

With what machine did you do all the buffing with?

Unreal. That's a heck of a save. Amazing job bringing it back, you definately had your work cut out for you.

I forgot to put that on there LOL I just used my PC 7424.

I dont think she got any sort of deal because im pretty sure the dealership is the one that did it. Because it was obvious that the entire car had been ... Badly. There was fish eyes everywhere and overspray in the door jabs.

Nice turn around. Great job, especially just using a PC.

I've had people that after getting a price quote from me and hearing what processes I would use, turn around and say "my husband and I have discussed it and we've decided we're going to take it to the dealership to have it detailed." I tell them to hang on to my card that they might need it.

I want a Flex bad but i just need to wait a few more weeks

Nice save...

It's hard to imagine what some detailer was thinking when you see these kinds of swirl patterns as they mimic how they moved the buffing pad over the paint...

:xyxthumbs:
Thanx Mike
Its unreal that someone would mess up a car that bad there is alot of hack job detailers around here though. You figure that once he saw the damage he was doing he would stop. It took forever but it was very satisfying when i fixed it all
