I have a dark red 2009 Accord. From reading various post it appears this car has a soft clear. The car has only been hand washed for the last two years, but the paint has minor blemishes (I would not call them scratches but they appear to be scratches) from washing. Is there a product that will hide or remove these minor blemishes? I do not have a polisher; therefore, I would be doing correction by hand. I would appreciate it if you reply-please do not use abbreviations. Thanks.

If the correction can not be done by hand, are there any details in Helena, Montana?

Do you have a budget you would like to stay in?

If you want best results you should get a DA (Dual Action Polisher), some pads and some compound/polish. For around $200 give or take you can have all you need to correct your car

Griots DA: $130 (and you can price match as there are places online a wee bit cheaper
Backing Plate 5in: $18
Pads 5in 6pack: $35 (2orange, 2 white, 2Black)
Megs twins (105, 205): $18 (8oz each) ($9 each)

Total: $201

You would spend more on getting it detailed than on products and then you can do it multiple times yourself. That is what I would do personally.

Do you have swirls or crows feet?

Not an expert at all but from helping my friends 8th Gen Civic, his car has crows feet all over the hood of the car. Its actually a common issue with most Honda's right now.

Not sure what you mean by crow's feet. Marks appear to be all in the same general direction. You can not feel them when you run your fingers over the paint.

You could apply a glaze by hand to hide the defects, but thats just a temporary fix

To be honest, even if you do a full correction, after a few washes the swirls will be back. That year Accord does indeed have super soft clear. But it does correct easily

Good luck

fyi, the crows feet I believe is more a sign of clear coat failure, can't polish that out.

From everything that I learned in helping my friend, yup.

If the car is under warranty the Honda Dealership is supposed to fix it. If not call Honda Crop and they'll deal with the dealership.
