So I've used the Zymol and Swissvax in the past (ones above this price range). Great waxes but also very pricey and unless every one of my clients has an exotic, I don't want to buy them. So I am looking into other brands and would like to know if anyone has used or has any input on these.

Dodo, Supernatural
Wolfgang, Fuzion
Chemical Guys, Celeste Dettaglio
Zymol, Concours Glaze
Swissvax, Mirage
Migliore, Primo Blend

any others? please chime in

Dodo Juice Supernatural is one of my favorites. I have it and love it. Great look and decent durability.

Another to consider is Pinnacle Souveran. It is a recent purchase of mine and I fell in love with it instantly. Very wet and deep looking on my Mineral Gray Cobra. I have head durability is not up there, but my Cobra is now a weekend only if it does not rain car, so I don't care about durability only looks.

Those are the only two that I can speak first hand on.

and yeah yeah i know you dont see a huge huge difference as you get more expensive but A) as a detailer i do like knowing i am using a product that is just a little better than some others, people spend thousands of extra dollars on a road bike to shave a pound off the weight and B) some customers like to know they have a wax on their car that most people wouldnt spend money on.

Wolfgang Fuzion is by far my favorite. It took the #1 spot away from Souveran when I discovered it did not have any of the dust attraction issues I experienced with Souveran.

Edit: and I discovered this winter it is very durable indeed! I got 4+ months out of it.

So the Wolfgang Fuzion is better then Pinnacle Souveran?

Migliore Competizione is my favorite carnauba under $500 yet. I have not yet tried the Primo but I would imagine it is very good. If you feel like spending the 250 for Competizione, it will hold its own amongst some of the best out there.

Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus

Meguiars Hi-Tech Yellow Wax

My two favorite! Great price and great shine!

i already have the s100 carnauba, collinite liquid and paste, autoglym hd, megs nxt megs high tech yellow megs gold class carnauba, pin liquid sov., and some others i just dont feel like going out to my garage to remember what they are. im just looking for something around the 200 dollar mark to make those high end clients feel special if they request it without overcharging them. The wolfgang looks good as you get a free refill, does the redish color of the wolfgang give any tint? Im really looking for something to use on all cars. The migliore competizione is probably nice but if im gonna pay more than 200 ill just go get swissvax.

What about something like Autoglym HD? Some places sell it for $50 but you can get it very cheap at Wallyworld on clearance.

Wolfgang Fusion gets my vote. It has proven to have long term durability too.

wolfgang fuzion. do those high(er) end waxes actually last longer? is it worth the money? the ones that are 300+

Pete's 53, 50/50 and Moonshine wax are some good products as well. All of them are from the 30-60 dollar range and look great on a vehicle. I don't know about longevity because I wax my car every week, weather permitting.

Collinite 915...can't be beat in my book...but then again, you may like to wax cars frequently..so perhaps something else would be more suitable.

I can give another nod in for CG 50/50. We've had a pretty nasty winter/spring and this last single layer of was is still going strong after over 1.5 months. Very easy to apply, gives me the best shine/look for the price, and comes off with just a small swipe.

I've got/used Celeste Dettaglio and Supernatural, along with Fuzion, Souveran, SSII, 5050, Petes and Adams Paste and a few others.

Both Celeste and Supernatural give me re-hazing (sweating) issues. I apply them as thinly as possible (can't even see the wax), buff a couple of times, even with chilled distilled water and they still haze some on the hood and front fenders. Once they settle down (after a couple days) they are very good, but I cannot say they look better than 5050, Adams, Souveran or Fuzion...but that's to my old eyes.

For a a pro (I'm not), I don't think you want the customer to see a wax rehaze.

I always return to Souveran even with 3-4 week durability, but so easy to use.

I just got some Sonax white carnuaba in so hopefully I will get a chance to test it out this weekend. The wife is getting new ktchen flooring and the house is a mess so it may have to wait,oh well.

I just tried Swissvax Concorso, very easy to apply great looking wax like Souveran, I don't know about durability yet.

I also really like Fuzion and is now probaly my second favorite behind Swissvax.

I haven't tried all those yet myself but my buddy says Mirage is his favorite of all waxes. Thats the next one going on Skybaby I think... Thanks to the sample I was sent. Thank you!!!! I would have never bought these cool high price waxes on my own.

The migliore Primo I'm looking forward to trying but haven't had the time. It's a little tougher to apply and you should follow a couple tips when applying but Tad tells me it looks very nice.

I've used the swissvax concorso and it blew me away in looks more than any other true wax I've used. Would I pay the money for it? No

I agree!! Fusion is great.

So the Wolfgang Fuzion is better then Pinnacle Souveran?

That depends on you. In a lot of peoples opinions that I respect they do like fusion more... usually based a lot on the difference in dust. As far as looks the verdict is out for me and I expect it may depend on the color of your paint. Either way looks are very subjective and almost indistinguishable. Put 2 different waxes right next to each other on a car and ask everybody which wax is on which side. Nobody will know unless the rare chance you pick waxes well know to show lighter and the other one darker.

What about something like Autoglym HD? Some places sell it for $50 but you can get it very cheap at Wallyworld on clearance.

Autoglym hd by all accounts I've heard from a lot of different experienced people who have tried many more waxes than I that autoglym is right there with the best of them.

wolfgang fuzion. do those high(er) end waxes actually last longer? is it worth the money? the ones that are 300+

300$+??? in my opinion NO WAY. Let me rephrase that. If you have more money than you need and have already donated some to charity and enjoy collecting high end waxes....then you worked for your money and it's definitely worth it to spend the money on whatever makes you happy.
Are you going to see a 300$ difference? In your head probably. LOL

I just did a trade for a new can of CG 50/50 and I'm looking forward to trying it out!!
