This is an ongoing thread ATM. This is my grandparents' truck and I will be borrowing it. While borrowing it, I couldn't have the thing as filthy as it was. I picked it up this evening and worked on the interior for around 3.5-4 hours. I'm using the truck for prom and have until Saturday to clean this filthy monster of a Ford up. I'm planning on washing it tomorrow. I'll post pictures tomorrow night after washing it. Anyways, here's pictures of progress from this evening. The before's of the interior don't do justice as to how bad the leather seats were for only a year old.

Sorry for the lack of photos of everywhere, but here's the products used

Meg's APC+ 7:1
DP Total Interior Cleaner
Bissell Little Green Extractor
Poorboy's World Green Apple Air Freshener

Keep it up. I am sure they will let you borrow the truck any time!!!

How do you like that air freshener? I am wanting to give something new a try.

Thanks man and as for the air freshener, personally, I like it. I change air fresheners in different seasons of the year. When it's warm I like a fruity smell such as that. It kind of smells like anything else that's green apple, such as candy. It's not a natural apple smell I think. I think it's more of a candy type sour apple smell. But, it's lasted longer than I have expected. In my truck, I sprayed it in a few weeks ago and it still smells strong enough. I spray with it on the carpet, carpet mats, cloth seats, headliners, vents, and the cowl that sucks air in from the outside. I run my vent for a few minutes to let it circulate and it works great IMO! :xyxthumbs:

Thanks. Sounds like good stuff. I think I will give it a try.

You can borrow my truck anytime (as long as you clean it) LOL! Nice work man!

Looking foward to seeing the exterior completed!

Thank you sir! I'm excited too haha. I've only seen the thing dirty, never clean lol.

I have 32 ounces of it. If you'd like, I may be able to send you around a 2 oz sample or so this week.

That would be great! I will PM you my address. Thanks! I will return the favor and send you a sample of any of the products I have. I will get you a list.

Thanks man! I'll be waiting on the PM! :props:

I should be home in around an hour. I'll start washing and taking pictures then!

Okay guys, I did only the wheels and wells and tires. Tires had to be scrubbed THREE times and used APC+ as well. Sonax, GG Wheel Cleaner, Daytona Wheel Brush, and a small sponge were used on the wheels. They will need buffed to my liking :D The tires are still brown a little even after the APC and scrubbing the heck out of em. It then started to storm and it's all I got done :(

Anyways here's some pics:

Hey Tom, go to Walmart and pick up a bottle of Bleche Wite. It will take care of any brown spots you have. For our personal cars I use Optimum Power Clean 3:1 because they are well maintained and only dressed with DP Tire Gel or Opti-Bond. But when I get cars in with nasty tires, out comes the Bleche Wite! Two rounds of this and you should be set.

Richard

*Edit - Try to avoid spraying on the wheel. I like to keep the wheel wet while scrubbing the tire with Bleche Wite.

Got some down in the garage! I thought that APC+ 4:1 would be stronger. I'll try it when I can. It stopped storming earlier and I finished washing it! Pics up soon! :props:

Okay guys, here's how it went.

I foamed it first with some APC+ and a little Dawn mixed. Then, I washed with a LC sponge and Meg's Gold Class Shampoo. After making suring the paint was clean, I dried it with a Cobra WW and a blower. I dressed the wells with Meg's ASD. Polished exhaust tip with 0000 wool and WD-40.

Future plans this week:
Clean tires again; now with Bleche White
Dress tires with Opti-Bond
Polish wheels
Seal wheels with Wheel Wax
Waterless wash with UWWP on Wednesday to wipe any pollen off
Clay with PB clay and XMT lube
Use P21S Paint Cleaner
Use PB Black Hole Glaze
Use PB LNB as the LSP
Clean glass with Invisible Glass
Coat glass with Rain-X

QUESTION: what should I polish the wheels with?

Anyways here's the afters of washing!

Really nice work and sure is lots of it. BIG machine! I'm another fan of Poorboy's green apple, won't be without it in the house and for the cars. The vanilla is quite nice too. They're concentrated so don't overdo it.

Looking good. Something I really love for Wheel & Tires is Mothers Foaming Wheel & Tire Cleaner. It is the best tire cleaner I have ever used. I am a huge Amazing Roll Off fan, and I think it does an even better job that that.

Mothers Wheel Mist All Wheel Cleaner cleans & maintains coated, painted, polished and anodized wheels without pitting the coating or corroding the

It is also sold under the FX line, but from what I understand is the same thing, just for different markets. I have both and both work great.

Mothers FX Wheel & Tire Cleaner is a high tech cleaner for all types of metal, chrome, plated & clear coated wheels.

In one of your pictures, it looks like you may have used one of those Bissell portable deep cleaners? If so, how well does it work?

That is a beautiful truck, nice job you are doing on it, that shiny black paint will compliment your tuxedo very nice for prom! I expect to see some prom photos too!
