How much for your lastest tank of gas

$3.72 yesturday $3.84 today and was told to expect $4.00 on Monday! Now the gas in the under ground tanks is the same as yesterdays gas but the same stuff cost more?

now someone please explain that to me!

half tank on my mom's volvo, 10.89 gallons for 40 bux :(

I love my civic though, I can go 250 miles on 6.5 gallons, so thats about $24 with gas at about 3.72.

You guys have nothing to complain about. It cost me 4.27(or 4.37 I forget which) for regular here in San Diego. Cost me 72 bucks to put in 17 gallons. Premium, which My car recommends is 30 cents more! Im sticking with regular for now.

As of today Reg.=$4.65/Prem=$4.85 i'm sure it will be more in the AM.I employ 5 guys that have gas cards.Oh well at least i get the points

maybe this is silly but i never fill the tank. I fill it half way. i have a 20 gallon tank and thats a lot of weight. the more weight the slower you go and the more gas your car will have to use. so by filling the tank up half way i am saving 80 pounds(1gallon of water is ~8lbs) i may be saving a few bucks a month.

also i buy gas first thing in the morning. gas is a liquid and condenses when its cold and expands when its hot. by buying when its cold i get just that little bit more money. also i can accurately check my tire pressure when the tires are cold. in CA if you buy a tank of gas you also get free air/water, its a state law.

The lowest here in Montreal is 5.36 per gallon. Converted from $/liter and multiplied by 1.0573 for currency rates. This means a little over $70 for a full tank on my little Kia Forte (13.7 gallon tank). My tank is 3/4 empty, i'll have to buy some soon...

I'm not so sure on the whole "gas is a liquid, and condenses and expands thing"
I do know that adding a few extra pounds in your tires will get you better gas milage.

It's true, liquids, solids and gases all expand and contract with temperature variations. The catch is that retailers know it and may correct the volume according to temperature. Where i fill up it says on the pump that the volume is corrected to 15 degrees Celsius (59 F).

On the other hand, temperature variations underground, where the gas is stored, are minimal. Variation along a day/night cycle will be insignificant. Variation over weeks or season will be, though.

Hope and change is costing me $4.15 a gallon while Nero flies around the world in a 747 raising money for re-election...Jimmy is in second place.

3.99 for regualr yesturday gos me $76 for 18 gallons and that wasnt on E, I still had 4 more gallons to fill if it was completely empty lol

The station operator knows the next tanker of fuel is going to cost more. They raise the price of what's in the ground so they have the capital to pay for the next tanker. The profit margin on a gallon of gas for the station operator is very low, they make their margin on the fountain drinks and snacks inside.

At what point will all the idiots who are driving these big boat suvs (who dont need them for work) get tired of paying $100 and more to fill these gas wasting pigs of vehicles? I know I work too hard for my money to waste $400 or $500 dollars a month to fill my car.And if a suburban or tahoe is all you can fit into maybe its time for you to lose some weight.I drive a 2008 cobalt ss/tc and getting 24.5 mpg cheapest and best bang for the buck car I can find thats fast also.If gas keeps getting too high than I might get the chevy cruze LTZ which I liked 30 plus miles a gallon.

Who knows and who cares. If these people can afford it more power to them. Unless these people are going to cause you bodily harm I would just let them go on their way of life and if they feel they need to change it is up to them.

This "idiot" has a family and a dog he hauls around on a regular basis in his SUV - the Cobalt isn't an option.

By the way...speaking of bang for the buck...my vette gets 30 mpg on the hwy.

I wont go into the 100+ reasons why we have a Tahoe and Silverado. If you do not travel, have kids, have dogs, do home improvements, etc then you will never understand. Kind of hard to travel like this with a small economy car (althought I have some great stories working at a home improvement store in college). Also last time I checked cars cant (shouldnt) tow trailers/boats, etc. It all comes to personal choice and if you are willing to deal with the gas prices why knock someones decision on what they drive? You have no idea the reasons behind it.

Back on topic, $3.26 for E-85. E-85 is cost effective (milage decrease vs price of gas) and does not fluctuate as much as gas prices do. I have been paying $2.99-3.26 for about 2-3 months now.
