What brand bug and tar remover?

PB bug squash works well at 3:1 for normal stuff and doesnt seem to compromise the LSP. For tough stuff Tarminator and a bug sponge is hard to beat.

Isnt great??? I swear by that stuff. I order a case each summer from Stoners. Try it on your wheel wells and watch them glisten!

I just wash with Dawn after and it strips all the residue.
 
Ive sprayed tarminator on and literately watched the tar just drip right off. In fact I did it yesterday on the GFs ride.
 
has anyone used "Turtle Wax bug and tar remover"?

You can also use Kerosine for tar remover. Works great for me for years.Of course you will strip all the wax also.Kerosine has plenty of oils in so it will not harm clear coat or single stage paints.
 
Majority of Turtle Wax products aren't worth the label they are printed on!! As of now Honey Comb and Tarminator are the best!!

Have you tried Optimum Power Clean (OPC)? That stuff is great and I don't like to use the word great. It's safe on just about any and every surface, except it's not recommended for fabric. Leather, paint, plastic, etc. OPC and a bug sponge is :props:.
 
I have been using Tarminator on tar for years and can't imagine anything better for this purpose... But for baked on bugs I have had less success with the product. To be honest I have switched to Bugs b gone by seafoam.. Get is OTC at most parts store for pretreating the front end before detailing... I too am looking for something better for bugs and am torn between TAW or OPC for my next APC type purchase after i run out of ARO :) I have WAY to many all purpose cleaner gallons laying around to burn through atm.

PB bug squash is awesome stuff. Wish I would have picked some up earlier than I did.
 
I use tarminator too. I also presoak with soap and water befor I clean the rims to help soften it up. I love all of stoners products.

If you are trying to remove tar, Auto Finesse Obiltarate is the best stuff I have came across. It blows Stoners Tarminator away.
 
I have not seen that stuff.. I will have to try some out.. always willing to try new things
