Everytime I don't prewash my new M/F's, when I use them to apply QD, the moist lint eventually gets wet and rolls up in to hard, tiny, round detail boogers which are much harder than wet cardboard.
One of the reasons I use a M/F towel is because they pick up contaminants. Then I wash them so that I can use them to pick up more contaminants. That is what they are for.
If I can get quality towels without paying for added overhead (plastic). I feel lucky.
So, if you don't tell anyone about the cardboard I won't tell anyone that you don't wash the loose fibers out of your M/F's.
