I have some ceiling mounted fluorescent's but only halogens for side body detailing/correcting.

With summer and warmer weather closing near,I was looking for another source of light besides my halogens (3 dual 500 watt and 1 single 500 watt) that get quit warm in the winter-let alone the summer.

1st some daylight shots:

I think the LED light's are a great alternative for halogen's for they throw off no heat.I will be picking up a few more of them so I'm not sweating my kahunas off when the temp's climb to the 80's-90's,this summer season.

That is neat! :dblthumb2: Where did you get them and how much?

I just did a search and found that they're "Smart Electrician" brand, sold at Menard's. There's a single-head one for $40 and the dual head tripod one pictured is $100.

Sweet! I'll have to check those out next time I am at Menard's!

Maybe after they are out for a while the price may drop. I was just talking to another detailer last week about coming up with a set-up similar to this . Glad to see these being offered. Thanks for the posting. :xyxthumbs:

I too like the longevity of LED's and the fact that they throw little to no heat.

Thanks Charlie! :dblthumb2:

Your Welcome.
Just thought I would post this thread to give others some alternatives to the heat generating halogens.

What are the specs on light output - lumens, etc?

This might be old threat but though I'd give shot anyways
I found these lights but I seen they only have 50w and 4000 lumines
I'm not familiar what so ever with lights and there specs so would it worth getting these lights I was going to stop by menards today and check them out
