Good APC for engine use?

I was using Zep for a while but switched to Optimum Power Clean because I don't have to worry about overspray on paint.

I use Zep on my paint and have never had any issues, i usually do this before polishing and sealing, really breaks up the stuff on the paint. so if a little gets on the paint its not gonna hurt anything.

Is your paint so bad that you need Zep to break up the so called "stuff" on your paint?

Can I just spray APC on the plastic bits of the engine bay, wipe with a damp rag then apply a protectant ? is it worth using a protectant ? whats a good cheap one ?

Four years later, you can use any spray on tire dressing for cheap. I still use CD2 that is no longer made, only because I had a case and now down to my last 2 cans.

Its a 2012 car and i'm worried about using a pressure cleaner or water to damage the electronics.

I was just going to use APC since its cheap (never used it), spray on and wipe off with a damp microfibre and then use 303 aerospace to maintain the plastics.

That will work, but be sure to clean off the APC really well before applying 303.rops:

The car was detailed professionally 2 - 3 months ago so I only need a very diluted amount of APC.

Stick to what you have ,many cars and the look of that one don't have a clear coat you will remove paint under the hood ,especially fords .
