...that really seem to help.

When detailing paint, I always used a cheap-o plastic stool to sit on when I did the vertical surfaces (fenders; doors). No wheels on it and I was always having to stand up countless times to move the stool to get the right position to work in.

A few weeks ago I bought a stool with castor wheels on it. Eureka! What a difference those wheels make. Now I can "skate" along the floor as I work and don't have to constantly stand up and resposition the stool. DOH! Just a little thing, but what an inprovement.

I have 3 stools, but for some reson have never been able to function using them. I use a piece of 3 x 3' 1" thick foam pad. I work best on my knees. I feel I'm closer to God this way too
 
It took me polishing my own car, and my wife's, to soon figure out that a stool with wheels is a must when detailing. My wife bought me a Craftsman stool on wheels for Christmas and it works great! It's small, light weight, has a trey underneath, and has hydraulic height adjustments. I think it was about $25 - $30 at Sears.

Good reminder. When I started to become aged, as it were, the little things (such as a castered stool) really were a godsend---fewer aches and pains from trying to be a contortionist! But what aches/pains that the detailing "little things" can't seem to relieve are taken care of by the "little woman". tee hee :D

I bought the $100 tailbone (seat). It is great very comfortable.
 
I sit on a HD bucket with a towel folded as a cushion. Works great!

I do the same thing. It's hard for me to roll around on casters in my driveway or my lawn (to be in the shade). Only place it would be useful is if I was to use it in the garage.

As I get older, that bendie stuff just...well it just doesn't bend anymore...so it's wearing out the knees of the Levi's too.

Having the right equipment makes the job all that more enjoyable. ;)

Get a nice foam cushion. It works great for me
