i had my first customer today since starting my business, it was a friends co workers car so he got a DEAL. i did a full exterior detail AND a headlight restore...$100

i know i know i did it for free practically, but it was more of a "promo" detail, i took some pics and the car was pretty clean before i started. front bumper had a ton of rock chips, nothing i could do about that it needs to be repainted.

products used:

Megs Shampoo Plus
DP Clay
ONR 1:64 as clay lube
Walgreens IPA 71%
GG DA polisher
Poliseal and White LC 5.5" pad
ONR 1:16 as Quick Detailer
600, 1000, and 200 grit sandpaper. (shouldve used 800 and 1500 as well, lesson learned:P)

for headlights:
Megs medium-cut cleaner
Megs machine glaze
megs ultimate compound

came out pretty well, i took out some scratches, the ones that i couldnt take out i put a little glaze over to hide.

took me about 4-5hrs to do, but i was definately take my sweet time and taking pictures in the meantime.

enjoy!

Looks good to me, nice work. Taking pictures will definitly make the process take a little longer. What a fun car. Really miss owning mine.

looks good. You have any pics of it in direct sunlight? it would help your sales pitch even more.

thanks i think it came out pretty well too, when i was driving it back to the guys work lots of people were turning their heads to watch me drive by. i parked it in front of some guys dry cleaning shop, the owner came out and said "move it! its too shiny its blinding me!"

haha so i guess i msutve done a good job.

really? i dunno im not sure i like it too much. its the interior that kills it for me, the door handles feel cheap and i dont like the visibility. sounds nice tho :P

nope just these, yeah ill definately do that for my next detail.

Looks great nice work

thank you sir :xyxthumbs:

the fender looks like it needs a little touch up with paint and if you try using some wheel cleaner to clean the rust off the rotors will make them pop but all in all looks good. cars in good shape are hard to make look alot better. keep your head up. some guys just cant say good things to anyone

My first impression is that the owner appears to take pretty good care of this car which will take the before and after elation down a notch or two.

On a car this clean from the start I think the time you spent on it is just about right and for $100.00 there should have been Zero complaints.

Nice Work! :props:

I have a regular client with one of these..... and if I remember correctly there is a jam between the trunk and the convertible top that is only visible when opening the top half way - could be something to remember if they become regulars. Good job man :props:
