Search results are not working, I get a "500 Internal Server Error" on any thread link I try to click. Hope you guys don't mind if this has been covered before.

I used the Mother's 3 step system a month ago. Happy with the results, car still looks shiny and it seems to repel most dirt. I also have Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Detailer spray, which I primarily use for cleaning off dead bugs, bird ####, and other contaminants in between washing/waxing.

Just curious what the general opinion is about using it in between waxing? I know it contains a wax, but I assume the wax is not as good as real carnauba wax? And since I have to apply this product with a towl, is it removing any of the mother's carnauba wax when I do this? What about using it as a whole car detailer in between waxing and washing?

Hope someone can help clear up these questions for me :buffing:

P.S. Car is garage kept, and only driven in sunny weather, it's an '05 s2000 with Metallic Silver paint

I've used UQD as well as some other QD products and not noticed any decreased beading of water on my personal drivers. This tells me the wax/sealant is not being removed.

Seems most QD products are recommended to remove very light dust, fingerprints etc., and temporarily boost gloss. These seem beneficial, not harmful to your wax coat.

Putting aside that UQD is like 4 bucks at my local Walmart. This prodict really works well from a maitnance perspective and has quite the shine. In additon it makes a great clay lube IMO.

my 2 cents.

thanks!

100% sure on UQD as I just went down stairs to check.. Purchased the Interior Detail for the same price as well.. needless to say I have about a dozen bottles... :dblthumb2:

I just got back from our Walmart and the UQD is $8

Well that stinks. I bought it last month and most of Meguires stuff was four bucks. Will try to locate the receipt and scan it in for ya. I will be going back this weekend and will check again too see if price has changed.

IMO a Waterless Wash Concentrate like Ultima, Optimum or DP are safer for maintenance. Ultima is less than $4/gallon!

Oh I believe you, just saying that its not that cheap at mine... I was gonna to buy a few bottles if it was only $4.

I agree with Jim, the Ultima makes an excellent QD at a smoking price.

uqd is a great product but i would buy the detailers line and get the gallon version of it(#135 i believe). i actually just buy a gallon of "last touch" all the time bc i love the gloss and smell from it:) also can be used as clay lube:)
