Let me start by saying that I really like the Dodo line. Everything I've used has been top notch except the bling applicator.

I'm not unhappy with the actual product though, just the $5 price tag. I found the same exact thing at target for a dollar. Somebody is making a lot of money off the AG consumer on this one.

Not only is it available but for one fifth the price. It may have been Wally world but i'm pretty sure Target. It is a great idea though. I have 3. One for 303 application, one for leather conditioner and one for LSP's.

I didn't notice a country of origin label. It was probably on the packaging which I threw out.

If they were made in England like othe Dodo Juice products, that may be why. Great Britain has a political-economic system (that I am not going to get into on this forum:xyxthumbs:) which causes the prices of good manufactured there to be rather high.

That would be the only idea I have that "justifies" the $5. If they are made in China, even if they are manufactured to "Dodo's Qualiy Standards", five bucks way to much, as is your concern.

That would be my guess, anyways...

:D

i got the light blue one at walmart-goin to use it with spray waxes to try to evenly spread product

Johnny b!!! Pick up a few of them, as I mentioned they are great for a lot of things. Mine are light blue too, that is the only difference.

I have about 12 of these applicators myself...I only use them on interiors though as they are rough MF and I feel it would scratch or mar with a LSP application...I buy them at walmart in 2 or 3 packs I believe...

I'm not saying they will mar paint, but like anything you get what you pay for. I'm sure that the dodo applicators are made of a much higher quality material than the cheap ones at Wally World. It would be like the difference between PakShak towels and Costco towels. Both are useful for certain jobs, but one IS better than the other on paint.

Flannigan, do you own both of them like me? No.

They are the same. I ordered them thinking they would be better quality. They are the same ones just $4 more. If anything the wally world ones do seem a little softer but probably because i've been washing/using them.

I don't mean to snap but i actually have them both and I'm tired of people speculating on products they don't even own.

i don't know how to load pics. I did once but it was a process and a half. I'm basically computer illiterate. can I send you phone pics and you can post them dubbin?

i would actually love it if someone proved me wrong. I might look like an idiot but at least i won't feel ripped off.

I have both and I feel the Dodo is much softer and the foam remains denser when wet with product. I do however agree with you on the price. Mothers actually make a really nice MF applicator that is more affordable but lacks the finger pouch.

The finger pouch is what makes it so great though.
