Optimum Poli-Seal

Bill,

Nice review and the results are amazing! I bought some of this when it was on a good sale and I'll have to give it a try real soon...

Awesome work!! :props:

Thanks Bobby - I wish I had gotten some more while on sale now ;)

I haven't had the same kind of luck with poliseal, unfortunately. For me, my other AIO's, DG 501 and KAIO have been easier to use. I use a Flex and the tangerine hydrotech pads as well, but on some panels I've gotten the tiger stripe effect and it's a bear to wipe those off. It's also dusted on me too, which the 501 and KAIO haven't. I don't want to be negative about poliseal because I want to like it, and I love all the other Optimum products I have.

It is likely dependent on the paint. I had a loaner car I was practicing with the Rotary on a while back, and it did not respond quite as well to the PoliSeal, though the paint was in much worse shape. If I get the chance, I would like to try the KAIO in the future.

Here is how the product looks in a bottle and on white paper (white balance corrected to the paper).

Great review Bill! I had a chance to use this and was just as impressed as you. One time I read a post by Chris@Optimum that if you want more cut to try 70% Poli-Seal and 30% Polish II, very impressive as well! Glad to see you like this product though. Thanks for the review :).

If you want afters, I will get some today and post them up if we get some good sunshine (cloudy right now, so not sure if we will get some sun later). Thanks she was happy with it. I cleaned up the entire interior which is more important to her, and put UIGP on everything and it looks great.

Well I ran outside and got a few pictures when we had a moment of sun, though it is diffused through some clouds, so no direct light. Here are some shots of the bottom 1/4.

Thanks for the tip Chris. Yeah, I think what happened was that I was using it more like a traditional polish so I was probably spending too much time with it. I will give it another shot and see what happens. Bill, did you really not wipe it off and have no issues with that?

Honestly, I did not wipe after the polishing except for the small 2'' door pillars because I didn't get the product worked in enough. The rest of the paint was not touched after the buffing and all the pictures are as-is.

Very nice sir! I recently switched from XMT360 to Poli-Seal and love it. It's a lot cheaper than the 360 so profits are better and in my opinion it works better. I was having some trouble with the 360 leaving smear marks that were somewhat hard to remove but the Poli-Seal has been performed flawless for me so far. I'm actually in the middle of using it on a dark blue 15 passenger van at the moment lol.

PoliSeal's incredible stuff. Although it's classified as an AIO, my favourite use for it is as a finish polish after polishing but before applying the LSP. I use a black 5.5" LC flat pad with the PC on speed 4 and it makes a noticeable difference in the gloss.

Incredible review and great work Bill! :dblthumb2:

It's an excellent product which I recently used for the first time as well. I agree - Sooooo user friendly!

Hey thanks for the review I was wondering about Poli-Seal as well.

Will It be ok to add some souveran wax or sealant (Wolfgang 3.0) after the Poli-Seal has been applied or will it not bond?

Thanks!

Layering it would be a great idea. I plan to layer Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint sealant this weekend.

Thanks for the reply. By the way I love how affordable Poli-Seal is. I might buy the 128oz container

:iagree: I've topped PoliSeal with Collinite 845 and Blackfire Wet Diamond with zero problems. I'm working on my brother's friend's black 2007 Chevy Cobalt SS, doing a little bit at a time when our schedules match up. The wheels are stock and have a clearcoat, so I gave them a little TLC with PoliSeal on a white 4" CCS pad and topped it with 845. I'm curious to see how well this combo repels brake dust and assists wheel cleaning.

I'm a little confused. Your title refers to PoliSeal, during your pics, you mentioned optiseal. I have and use both and I believe only with OptiSeal that it is a "wipe on and walk away" type product. Whereas Poliseal needs to be buffed off with an MF. Am I wrong?

Right!

I get these confused all the time. Even writing this I had to recheck..twice!

I'm just going to make up something on the spot here.

Poli-seal is the one you Polish with and Opti-seal is the one that rests On the paint.

I think that will help me from now on! Both seem to be great products! I can't wait to order both sometime!

Mistake on my part, but by the time I realized it, I was unable to edit it. The product is PoliSeal.

Hmm, interesting. I've never used or even thought about using PS as a "wipe on and walk away" product. Might have to try that. Using OS is a breeze; maybe using PS in that fashion will be just as easy.
