I had just over $100 in my cart and it showed free shipping. I place the order then got a e-mail stating that a error occured and free shipping was given by mistake. The free shipping level is $500. I was told my card would be charged the shipping rate. Low and behold my card was double charged. So everyone look at your statment. Instead of charging the shipping they did a full charge again w/the shipping along with the old charge w/o it.

They tried to pull that with me too, I told them to cancel the order.

I canceled my order too... In fact, my order was already en route but they changed my items and charged me shipping without my consent. I told them to recall the shipment and created a dispute with my CC company right away.

Neither of my orders, the one from the 25th and the 26th have been shipped yet. IDK what is going on. When did you order yours? Both of them say shipping pending when I check the status on their site.

I never got a shipment notification either. I don't know how to check the status of my order online. I just tried contacting PAC yesterday when I saw my CC got charged a different amount and that's when I found out about everything... Messed up IMO.
 
Made me realize how great Autogeek is.

That's not really fair...the place apparently had a computer lightning strike, and they ARE going out of business and working with limited staff. In the past they have been fine (although their website was a little goofy where it would default to zero and you would go along clicking "add to cart" and after you had done that with a bunch of items you would look in your cart and it would be empty because you hadn't put a qty. in)

That what? PAC is going out of business and they have limited staff. Think about the amount of orders coming and the computer/limited staff constantly trying to update stock/package/ship. Must be a fracking nightmare for them right now.

DOESN'T MATTER! They are still in business and taking people's money! This is the WORST customer service and communication I have ever heard of/been a part of. It is laughable how bad this situation is now. Not a single person from PAC has addressed anyone's concerns on the forum. This is ridiculous. It is becoming painfully obvious why they are in the situation they are....
 
i ordered a few things from them they have charged my card but no shipping info yet and i ordered on the 27th.i guess i was willing to take the risk. their site now says extended to the 30th

I understand that but you can't just change people's orders and charge them additional fees without them knowing!!!! Would you like to go to a restaurant, see your bill for $40, pay it with your CC and when you get home to check your statement, you get charged $60!? That's just wrong!!! I have my my invoice and that's why I expect to get charged.

I have to agree with you two that it does feel cheap and dirty about the emails coming in late but think about what they are going through. A business being over, I'm sure their hearts are very heavy and burdened with what they have to do now.

All I'm saying is have a bit more understanding.

I am understanding with their slow fulfillment time. I totally get that and I would even wait for my order for 2 weeks or something because they are understaffed. What I won't tolerate is being charged extra money without my knowledge or consent. To me that's just theft for the lack of a better word. That's just crossing the line.

Would you be understanding if someone charged you extra money without asking you? What if you just had your car serviced in your local dealership and the bill came out to be $75. But the service manager wanted to add an extra $25 just for kicks after you left. How would you feel?
 
No I agree with you, I would be pissed also. But I highly doubt these guys are trying to scam anyone ATM. Most likely just a bunch of overworked people with a lot on their plates.

Isn't that the normal dealer practice? My friend had some evaluation done at the dealer and they charged one hour of labor for $100...and then they charged $5 on top of that for waste disposal...exactly what waste did they generate hooking up the wires to the car? At least they took that charge off when she complained.
