Grit Guard Pad Washer Cart

Love this cart!

You no longer have to bend over to clean you buffing pads!
By elevating the Grit Guard Pad Washer off the ground in a sturdy cart you no longer have to bend over to clean you buffing pads. The cart comes with 2 lockable wheels and if you lock them the cart stays in place as you run your polisher to clean the pads.

And of course the Grit Guard Pad Washer works great!

No camera flash shots...

With camera flash on... (same pad before and after shots)

You can see the compound residue building up around the inside top of the bucket via centrifugal force as you increase your RPM's to sling out excess cleaning solution and spent product.

If you machine buff cars for a living or often, you will love this cart and the pad washer...

Does it come with some cover that allows you to remove the grit guard bucket and use it just as a cart?

I assume you can just put in a piece of wood to cover the opening.

I saw it in the Bumblebee write-up and immediately searched for it in the store! I hadn't seen it before, and now here it is! Drool.

Didn't see any kind of cover, good idea though if you don't have a Pad Washer. We have two of these carts out in the training garage and the other one is going to be outfitted with the System 2000 Pad Washer just in time for our Advanced Class this Sunday....

Finally... no more bending over to clean a pad in a pad washer...

Looks a bit top heavy? I would hate to hit a crack or something on the floor and have everything dump over. Can you comment on this, Mike?

The other cool part is this could be used with a shallower bucket (3 gallon or so) to house soapy water and sandpaper while hand sanding....

Very nice, I can't wait to try that out.

Now that is a product that should really save my back.

And I like the wet sanding idea too.

It has large wheels, at least for this application and is actually very sturdy. I rolled it on and off the polishing deck multiple times and no problems with it being tippy. It would be the least of my concerns.

I would still use a 5 gallon bucket, with 2 Grit Guard Inserts inside and about 4-gallons of water with a few drops of soap. This way there's plenty of water to swish a sandpaper around before removing it and wrapping a backing pad.

Doug Lamb told me about this idea about a year ago and I wanted one then... it's another great labor saving and back saving device from the Lamb boys...

Excellent review Mike! I'm right there with you when I say work smart, not hard. The Grit Guard Universal Detailing Cart makes this possible with the ability to clean your pads using the Universal Pad Washer at a comfortable level. :props:

It's often confusing for some people the first time they open up their Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer because the included extension insert is black, and not red like in the pictures on the product page.

As you can see in the picture below, the extension insert blends in with the Grit Guard because they're the same color. This can be confusing as they look to be one piece.

The extension insert removes easily so you can clearly see that it was included with your Pad Washer.
