Trim Restorer

Hey Jenn,

It's nice to see you're posting so soon! :props:

I've never used Black WOW but I have used Poorboy's World Trim Restorer and it does a very nice job at bringing new life to aged plastic. Poorboy's World Trim Restorer goes on very easy with a foam pad. The key is to wipe back and forth ensuing that the product covers evenly and completely.

The downside with this product and most others is it doesn't last more than a 2 to 3 weeks and can become streaky if it stays wet for extended periods. That said it still keeps plastics and rubber looking its best.. :dblthumb2:

Here's an example from my 1999 Dodge Dakota that I've had since new.

Wonder what you used to put it on with? I used an old washcloth, worked like a charm.

Is Gtechniq available from anyone in the U.S.? I only see it online in the UK.

If you trim is badly faded both ETS and UTTG will make an improvement, but neither will "restore" the trim. They will both darken the trim slightly, and provide extended periods of protection, but they won't make them look like new.

The problem with most trim restorers is they don't last very long. I think I have trim most of the popular ones and very few of them last past a couple washes or rain storms. The only one that is a true permanent (well up to 2 years) trim restorer is Getch C4.

That looks interesting. Since my Pilot is relatively young (06), I will just keep with the protectants for now and reapply as needed.
