From HmmmmmM3 to MMMMMMMM3!

All the paint is compounded now just waiting for the first coat of JetSeal109 to set up (15 min) then to the last coat... Working on the wheels now though....

Alright sorry for the wait but the pics will have to come tomorrow... The customer called and decided that he didn't want the wheels polished at this time because of money... I already had them off and soaking in cleaner... Oh well.. I had to get them back on and that took some time as I was going to leave them off till tomorrow... It is getting stormy here so I decided not to pull the car out just in case it decided to rain... I promise you tomorrow there will be completed pics up around 9am (CO time)

We'll be waiting for those pictures. If they're late, well.....:bat:

awesome job, you should be proud !!!! i hope to achieve results like that one day.

The yellow pops a lot more in the shadow. Turned out really well. now only if the owner will maintain it. Good job Chris.

He will be... I convinced him that he needs to have me maintain the finish at minimum it needs to be in the shop 3 times a year...

Time for a fresh set of rubber and a matching sparco seat.

Those tires only have 5k on them... they have a ton of rubber left... But hopefully I will be getting the wheels and tires for the Zed... As far as the seat he told me that he honestly doesn't like it so he is looking for a factory napa black M3 seat... I hate that seat as I have a hard time fitting in it...

I guess the lighting in pics make them look well worn in the front. It will look less boy racer with the factory seat in it. Hopefully you can pick up the wheels.

I just talked to him to let him know the car is done... He is on the way to pick it up... He said he wants to keep the wheels on the car but has some DS2's he wants to get rid of... IDK how the DS2 will look on the Z3...

Customer just picked up! He was so thrilled at the job that I did! He told me that he has been to 3 or so body shops that told him that the car would need to be repainted to achieve what I did! He said he has a friend that has a 1957 MBZ 300SL Gullwing that the paint is red and faded to pink that the body shops are telling him the same thing...

Here is a MBZ 300SL Gullwing for reference:

If he has me do the MBZ I will be soooooooooo happy!!!!

You better post pics of detailing the MBZ if you do!!!

Most body shops nowadays either dont have the patience to properly detail a car or take the easy wasy out (in their minds) and say just paint it.

The car looks nice Chris. Not sure that I have seen one in that color. Nice work.

I will and so true on the body shops... They need to stop with that it is so frustrating to hear that type of stuff...

Thanks Dave... BMW didn't make many of them in the E36 format they seemed to make more in the E46 especially in 2003...

Great work Chris. I know the owner was happy.

great work on the exhaust tips! nice!

how long did it take u to finish? what polisher did you use?

Yeah the owner was ecstatic!

Thanks that was a lot of scrubbing with 0000 Steel Wool and Never Dull...

For this correction it took me about 14 hours... I used the GG6 mostly on a 4.5 setting with either Chemical Guys Hex Logic white 5.5 in pads or a white Cyclo 4 in pad on the GG6 @ 3.5 speed using Megs Ultimate Compound and sealed with black CG 5.5 in HL pads and 4 in Cyclo blue using CG JetSeal109 (4 coats to keep it as strong as possible waiting 45 min in between)
