What condition is the paint on your vehicles?

My 04 Silverado and my 03 Suburban.....both white would be in

Excellent Condition

They weren't this way before I started hanging out here :xyxthumbs:
 
id say my ss is Excellent Condition "now" only 2 light defects that it takes pure sun light at the right angle and the right distance to see lol :D its dd spends 100% of its life outside :(
 
Both my vehicles are daily drivers.

My 2001 Grand Prix is mildly neglected;

My 2009 Jeep Patriot is in good condition.
 
Excellent Condition, currently parked outside 24/7, Opti-Guard FTW! :props:
 
Good. Fixing to be excellent now that I got the easy to use DA MF system.

My cars:

2001 BMW Z3 - DD in Excellent Condition minor dings from stupid people at the grocery store even though I park at the farthest point in the parking lot away from all cars and carts the carts just seem to find a carrier to take them to my rear quarters and ding them!
2001 Land Rover DII - Off roader but in Good Condition
2005 Saturn Ion - Wife's in Excellent Condition
1984 Corvette - NEEDS WORK the car has been repainted 2 times before and has SMC cracking in the C4 high stress places but I will be starting on the body of it in the next 4-5 months
1966 VW Bug - Drag car that is satin black in Excellent Condition
1932 Ford 1 Ton - In need of full frame off restoration (but it has a Ardun headed flat head from a 50 Merc!)
1960 MBZ 190 DB - In need of full frame off as well
 
My 2010 Kia Forte is in good condition. I polished it a few months ago but the WG Total Swirl Remover did not totally remove the swirls lol, it removed about 85% of them. Whats left are not really RIDS because they are not random at all and probably not that deep. I'm considering trying one of the more aggressive Menzerna products next spring. Or maybe i wont be able to wait that long :D
 
Both of my BMW's are excellent condition and sit side by side in the garage. The wagon is the family wagon and use it every so often when we dont use the daily driver Toyota. The Yota sits outside and is maintained properly to keep it in excellent condition but has minor body damage from shingles/bricks falling on it from a bad storm. I want to bring my 335i sedan to show car status and remove all orange peel. But I need more training for that.
 
I am at excellent condition for both cars. Since they are both driven frequently, I did not go the extra step to get to show quality.
 
According to this particular rating system, I guess my car is a reflection of its owner.....borderline unstable!:laughing:

The 20+ year-old single stage lacquer has been force-fed a bunch of Meguiar's #7, so despite its various ailments such as checking and crazing, it looks pretty decent. Thanks to Mike's tutorials and the various products from the AG store, it looks much better than a 1987 100,000 mile "survivor" should.

unfortunately, my car would have to fall into the mildly neglected/ possibly neglected category:cry:. What makes me very upset is that I love my baby and care so much for her. but i had some bad luck along the way. shoddy paint job for 1 and typical NY haters purposely damaging my car. at my old job, i had 1 guy put the lighter smiley face burn mark on my rear bumper :eek:. Its Black with impossible paint. even the most experienced detailer will curse at my car wile correcting. all you have to do is look at the car and it get marring and swirls. i gave up...let me stop there, i get upset just thinking about it:mad::(
 
Mildly neglected, it's a work truck that only sees quik wax as a protectant, it's never seen clay since I owned it. I also had to help get a stuck friend out of the desert, squeezing through trees meant for jeeps was not a fun experience... But all this is about to change :)

Jacob, you mentioned that the door dings are minor but if you want them gone I highly recommend Eddie Martin, The Dent Devils The Dent Devils for PDR. He's on Kearny Mesa Road. Several years back I drove over 400 miles so he could work his magic. If you ever need PDR, he is the go to guy in San Diego. Anybody else in San Diego, he's the man to get rid of dings! He also has a list of PDR specialists in other states. Just knowing what this guy is capable of gives me a lot of peace of mind. He does other work too. Hmmm, he can probably help you with the clearcoat on your fender or give you advice on it.

Since you're in New York, if you still need your Infiniti's paint corrected, give Andrew of Big "A" Detailing a buzz. He has done some amazing recoveries on G35 and G37 paint. I'll post some links (actually the car in the first thread looks a lot like the car in your avatar...Hmmm...)

I would say that my 2008 BMW is in excellent condition. Washed frequently and always garaged

Excellent shape. Has one dent and 2 rock chips and not a swirl or mark other then those. :)
 
03 Cobra between Show Car & Excellent Condition. Always garaged and covered. Washed before putting it away and covering. Seldom driven and only in great weather.

02 Toyota Mildly Neglected to Good Condition. Always parked outside, never covered. Washed once or twice a month. Needs another full correction. Was waxed with Fuzion three months ago after being clayed.

92 Explorer Clear Coat Failure to past The Point Of No Return. Don't know if I can get away with a clear coat respray or a total repaint. After refinishing it will be garaged again since I built another garage.
