Hand Car Wash - $10

Starting today I will be offering a 10 minute, $10 hand wash.Towel drying is an up charge

i still want to know the answer to flash's question: how they are paying rent and still paying those 3 guys. with $10 hand washes.

for $10 i will spray water on your car!

u didnt get a ticket for churping going in to second did you Flash? like i always say, "i dont speed, i just get to the speed limit quickly"

Technically that's a ticketable offense as well... "exhibition of speed."

:dblthumb2:

or reckless driving im sure. i tend to jump off the line on my gsxr1000, then just let go the throttle when i hit the speed limit. still have fun, but justify it at the same time? my silly logic i guess:doh:

Maybe the property owner cannot find a renter and allowing someone to use it for a percentage of the take..

I don't understand why someone with that kind of car is going to a $10 car wash in the first place. Don't they know that it's probably not the best wash to go to?

I'm guessing they don't know and don't care

I think the idea for most people is, "well, if there ain't any dirt on it, it don't need no cleaning." Most car owners do not see swirls, scratches, dents, oxidation, etc. like people that are into detailing. They just see a clean shiny car. "Why should I spend a hundred dollars for a "detail when the people down the road'll do the same job fur ten bucks?" Because they don't understand what the difference is.

You should see all the swirled out Beemers in the Drs lot at work. Makes me want to vomit every time I walk in the door. My Pilot isn't near as nice but at least it is clean and shiny.

IGotta go now. My groupon coupon for a $5 discount towards a $10 hand wash expires shortly. (I'll say it for you...BOOOOOO; HISSSSSS) :)

I think anyone who lets a group of adults wash a $200k for $10 is mentally challenged

i just threw up in my mouth
So did I. I'm so glad no one in the house passed the computer after I clicked that link; they already think I'm enough of a freak for detailing the vehicles so often, and doing reviews on detailing products. I shudder to think what they would have done if they saw me looking at that!

So girls in bikinis is alright but guys in undies isn't? I think it's funny lol

:surrender:

I share this opinion. Only a fraction of car owners care enough to notice 1/10th of what we notice on vehicles. The way we conduct ourselves around OUR cars is not altogether rational to most people (just ask my girlfriend). Is there real value to this type of OCD care? Of course. But, do most cars get junked because of RIDS and swirls, no. At least 80% of the value of our work is to the current owner in real-time appreciation, not transferred to the next owner who is looking for something that doesn't leak, is about the same shape as it originated, rides and drives well and looks okay.
