Let's talk about Expensive wax here (+300$)

Then of course there's this....

This was a joke.. not one single actual pictures of the product has ever been seen on the internet. only photoshopped image.

My Favorite 'expensive wax' (perhaps this should also go on Alko/Alex's "scam thread")

Brough and Howarth's Definite Wax Marble

Here’s a car wax that costs GBP24,000 (US$37,070). The folks at Brough and Howarth claim that their Definitive Wax Marble is the world’s most expensive car wax.
The product contains refined natural fruit oils, locally sourced beeswax, and imported carnauba wax from northern Brazil. It comes in a marble cube.

In general I find the difference between boutique products and common products minimal and not worth the price.

Fancy packaging, cool names and big price tags doesn't always equal a better product. Like a previous post stated, pour some Meg's Cleaner Wax in a fancy bottle and give it a cool name and the average person would fall in love.

If Sophia Vergara is wearing clothing from Target is she still smokin hot? Hell yeah! She makes the clothing look good, not vice versa.

IMO the prep makes the pop and the LSP protects that pop.

I saw Solaris on the Zymol website and I saw pictures of one car( a metallic maroon SUV) that supposedly had it on it.

I'm dying to try some wax in the 200.00 price range, but just can't make up mind... I'm thinking of Swissvax Blau Weiss or Zymol Concours. I'm leaning towards the Zymol. Or maybe I'll just try Souveran or Fuzion. It's really hard to figure out which one to try.

If you are looking to try new things for that price range you should try the Zymol Sampler kit #2, you would get 2oz of concours, 2oz of Destiny and 2oz of Atlantique + a towel and they usually include a little bottle of hd cleanse. So far I tried Destiny last year and Atlantique recently....amazing results and fairly easy to use. Fuzion and Souveran are great too and easier to use. But I have to admit that Zymol samplers are awesome bang for the buck and do come for sale once in a while. Cheers

Man I thought Collinite 915 was expensive! I guess I won't be bragging about that after seeing this thread. :D

Honestly, when you make it into $300 waxes, you are paying for wax being more exclusive, rather then x20 better looking then $15 Collinite 845...does it mean you shouldn't buy one? No, it does not. It is your choice...I have a pot of SV Insignis, and absolutely love it. It goes exclusively on my X5. Just don't expect to be blown away by a wax without properly prepping the paintwork...
