So after reading alot of people's comments about a dedicated blower for their car, I decided to pick one up. I bought this one from Lowes:

Shop Troy-Bilt 7.5-Amp Electric Blower at Lowes.com=

I will be testing this out later today. Seems like sufficient power for drying the car. I installed the nose pointing down instead of up to make drying easier.

I have a 7.5 amp Craftsman and love it. I dry it with the blower than mist a little QD and finish with a WW. Makes a super combo.

I have the JetSPEED and really like it. The blower is lightweight and has 6 speeds, which come in handy for different parts of the car. Some time ago, someone complained that the rubber nozzle would fall off. They fixed that and all you have to do is slip the nozzle on and give it a twist to lock it in place.

Congrats on the Troy Built. I like that handle since most surfaces above door handle height need to turn it upside down. The 150 MPH is perfect too.

Thanks Jimmie! I didn't get to try this today...was too hot today and ended up running all around the world running errands. I'm going to try to make a video tomorrow.

Really thinking about trying this out. I think the how-to photos sold me:)

Thanks those "How To" photos really helped me order one. It is on sale too!

I also picked up the new Jet speed dryer and it does a good job of drying. I use it most for the areas that trap and hold water like mirrors, lug nuts, around lights etc.

Congrats! I use a leaf blower on my car and love how there no more water marks fromcracks and crevices on my car anymore. And cuts drying time by 50%.

I got the cheapest one I could find, and I had a coupon. Not sure how well it works on unprotected paint, but protect paint is easy to dry with it.

I bought this one a couple of years ago and really like the way it works......like the two cars I used it on today!! :props:

I seen your previous post where you posted this. As you can see, I've been taking alot of tips from you ;-) I saw this one too...I think it was $59. If the one I have doesn't work good enough for me, I am going to take it back and get that one. I'm thinking I should have gone with that one from jump.

Where did you get it and what the price tag on one of these?

As I mentioned above, I bought this a couple of years ago from Lowe's for "about" $50.00. Models do change in style and appearance so this years model might not look the same..

I bought a Toro blower from Home Depot in the same price range (about $59) and I'm happy with the way it performs when I use it for drying my car. I thought about getting a Vac and blo combination, but I can use this Toro in the fall to blow leaves. That way I don't feel too guilty about the expense. See, I am trying to do something about this detailing addiction I have.

Well guys...the blower worked but I wasn't happy with it. I will be taking it back and getting the blower BobbyG has. Check my review on my thread titled "On To The Next Level..."

Mine is a hand-me-down from one of my dad's friends. Works like a champ except my neighbors think I am a freak.
