Dodo Juice Tyromania Review - TLC Auto Detail

I would like to know does it leave the tire slick? I am getting into doing high end road and triathlon bikes. I would like to make the tires look new again but would hate to think that someone would take a spill do to tire shine. I am guessing after the first ten feet or so the tred would be dirty enough to keep them safe but I would love to have the bikes have that just like new look.

Nice reviews. I may order a pot of this. I applied a shiny dressing yesterday and my car looks cheap to me today. Shiny doesn't fit my daily driver.
Thank you! I agree that greasy looking tires can actually detract from the overall look of a vehicle...IMO of course.

It does dry to the touch, but I don't know if I would put it on motorcycle tires. I've always been told not to dress them at all.

For some reason to me this stuff looks like shoe polish or some kind of stain/paint when I see it applied in pictures. Like it sits on top of the surface it's applied on, rather than kind of "absorbing" in.

I don't quite understand what you mean.
How many applications do you feel one could get out of a jar.
Hard to say, since I've only used it on one tire. If used sparingly I would guess maybe 10 cars, 40 tires...but that is just a guess.

I like the looks and application of this product, especially if it has good longevity. I see one serious drawback though... I have Raised White Letter tires on one vehicle, raised White OutLine on the other. I suppose if one was inclined you could work around the RWLs without making a mess. The WOLs are much two intricate though. One of the reasons I've been using aerosols and foams. YMMV.

As for the raised white letters, you would have to wipe off any product that gets on them since it is black. That being said though, you should be able to wipe it off very easily. I got quite a bit on the wheel when I was using it, and even after it dried it wiped right off, totally clean. :props:

I used a trim safe carnauba wax on the wheels this week and although it wasn't built solely for tyres it left a really natural look on them. I feel confident that I'll love this paste too if I get it one day.

Interested to see the durability too.

i get the same look without all the work with black magic titanium matte tire finish at about $4 per spray bottle. i absolutely love it. even found it at big lots for less than $4. hope this helps.

What work? This goes on just like any other wipe on tire dressing.

Dave,

Nice review; I have similar results with Opti-bond tire gel. Nice matte look!
Again, awesome review. I have always been wowed by the product packaging this company offers.

Thanks Andrew! I must have missed this post when you made it! I like Optibond too, but generally reserve it for tires.

*UPDATE*
So I don't have any pictures for this little update because I didn't have my camera with me. But I am very happy to say that after looking at this trim over the weekend the Tyromania is STILL showing signs of life! This trim was very neglected from the start, so it doesn't look brand new, but the side with the Tyro on it is noticably darker still! Thats over 2 months later(78 days to be exact)! I would bet that means that if used on new trim it would look great for at least 2 months as Dodo claims. I will be seeing this car again sometime this week and grab a few pics.

How is the durability of Tyromania?

He did post an update in the post just before yours...
