A Good Ol' Boy's Work Truck

WOW - great job! Only 13 hours, I thought for sure it would have been more. Vacuuming could have took 13 hours :)

I guess I've done enough work truck for a local concrete business that interiors like that don't shock me.
However, that one step was amazing.

Bravo!
I really enjoy those shocking ones...great job man!

Wow, that truck returned from the pits of hell. My optimism was low in those before pictures, so great turnaround!!

This was a birthday present from a customers wife to her husband... She was tired of seeing his truck "looking bad and smelling gross".....
:argue:

wish there was a market like this where I live . well the markets here people just don't wanna pay the money . all cheapos..

poweraid, The key is marketing man! Note it wasn't the customer who ordered this but his wife. Market to the the lady of the house and when they See how it turns out then they have to keep it that way!

:goodjob2: I noted you used Meg D300 for your 1 step on a foam pad. I'm impressed with this stuff I'll have t try it on foam, works great with the MF pads but the pads won't hold up to hard pressure or high settings on my GG6. I tore the backing off one and literally wore out the backing on the other to the point where the backing plate will no longer grab it. I can see where D300 huge contender when used as a 1 step on foam or HT pads!

Great job, you really brought the color back to life, that is one great turn around! :buffing:

For a fat girl...'she' is NOW ready for the prom!

NICE!!!

Great job! That thing was a mess!

Yes it was! But not to extensive when you have a process to stick to (doesn't help that I am a bit OCD... lol...)

I could smell that thing from here :vomit: Nice recovery

Man you should have been in the shop... It smelled like manuer for close to 5 hours after I finished up...

Yep 13 hours... I tend to work fast and efficient with my process...

Done a few other work trucks but I wasn't into pics at the time... Now I realize that I can get better customer feedback and more jobs with pics...

Fantastic job!

This means a lot coming from you Gary!

Bravo!

They call me the shocker.... Er... wait that sounds dirty... Strike that... lol...

I will agree fully with the marketing point... I would say that 80% of my clientele base is female from ages 30-50... They are the ones that get their hubby's appointments set up and in the door then they are the ones that bring the hype when their hubby's are like "It looks good" they interject and are like "wow, OMG, What a difference, etc..."

I love the MF system but when you are wanting a quick one step it works well on the GG6 with an Orange cut pad very well... I have found that the key to the GG6 and the MF system is keep the speed no faster than a 4.5 and very light pressure it cuts very well and finishes awesome ready for D301... I love my CG HexLogic pads though and I figured that I would give it a try on this one cause it worked so well on my wife's Saturn.... The other key to D300 is working it till it is clear...

For a fat girl...'she' is NOW ready for the prom!

NICE!!!

Bill

Lol... I love this!

Thank you all for the very kind and positive comments!!!

It looks great! Your system obviously works well for you, it would have taken me a lot longer, but I work slow, lol.

Thank you...

My system is fairly streamlined...

1) Wheels, Tires, Wheel Wells
2) Vacuum everything in the interior
3) Scrub/Wipe Down all plastics, vinyls, leathers
4) Extract Carpet/Upholstery
5) Interior Glass
6) Wash (includes jambs)
7) Clay
8) Wash again
9) Dry
10) Single Step
11) Wax/Sealant
12) Wax/Seal/Polish Wheels
13) Dress Tires/Trim
14) Exterior Glass
15) QD (if needed to touch up spots before delivery)

Thanks Gary!

I loved how the 3401 worked! I have to budget one in now... Lol... My wife will love you... Lol...

very nice work! it is always good to have a set process to use. since this helps on speed of getting the job done and also ensuring not to forget anything.

it turned out great! hopefully u will get word of mouth business as a tip along with the extra $50.

there is nothing like the feeling of personal accomplishment from doing a great job and also the look on the owner's face when they see the finished product. i think this is why i love detailing so much.

keep up the great work!!!

Thanks Jon... I love WOM customers... Cause they tell their friends etc!

Wow Chris what an amazing turnaround on that truck. That thing looked horrid in the begining. I dont think I would have had the patience to clean a FUBAR'ed vehicle like that. My hats off to you my friend.

Thanks Mike! It was a big job but it was well worth it! I enjoyed it and the enjoyed the customer's reaction when he saw it!

Tomorrow I start on a 2000 Plymouth Prowler that is Jet Black and has never been washed with soap... Just rinsed and dried... It is not in too bad of shape and only has 10k miles on the odo... The owner is a very particular woman and also the VP for the Colorado Mopar Club! She says that if she likes my work she will be referring many Vipers, Prowlers, Etc to me and when she says something people in the club move! lol...

I will do a write up on it when finished...

Looks like I am a bit late on this thread, but I have been mega super busy.

FANTASTIC, I can't believe D300 did that in one step. Major props!

That interior is just nasty. I know a few people that leave their cars like that all the damn time and I just can't understand how you could even stand it.

Great clean up man.
