Jed Clampett checking in.

I'm down in the Missouri Ozarks.

TOTALLY new to the detailing hobby. Just bought 2 new cars and found AutoGeek by looking for the best way(s) to protect them. After reading countless posts and threads about Opti-Coat 2.0, I decided to go for it. Awesome stuff! I can't believe how incredible it is to coat/protect a vehicle once when it's brand new, and never worry about waxing again. Sweet.

Other favorite products I found here so far...

- ONR
- Optimum Leather Protectant
- Klasse AIO
- Stoner Invisible Glass
- Pinnacle Foam Applicator Pads
- Cobra Microfiber towels

I can't believe I ever trusted my vehicles to Turtle Wax. AWWWWWWW!

Hey Jed,

Love your show back in the 60's, it used to be one of my favorites!

Hey, :welcome: To Autogeek Online where we treat the detailing obsession as an esteemed quality rather than an illness.. :props:

You've come to the right place and now can call it home.... :dblthumb2:

Welcome to the forum. Can I have your autograph? hehe.

Welcome from Memphis Jed Clampett. Hope you have that wad of cash ready for dispensal

Welcome....

Edit.... I just noticed the thread was made back in 2011... I suck at reading

NO prob. I call Misery home. Right outside of Ft. Leonard Wood. Folks still live there.

Say hello to all the Clampett's and the Bodines for me. Cousin Pearl as well.

Granny was the true matriarch of the family, never underestimate Granny, she kept em all in line. As this episode, one of my all time favs proves!

Granny for President of the USA! (God rest her sweet soul!)

Bob

Actually Bob,

Ol' Popcorn couldn't stand the thoughts of going back the federal pen after getting caught again runnin' shine, so he drove his ol' green car to his back 40 and 73'd from suckin' exhaust.

Yup, dat's Popcorn alright. Guess you saw those guys on Moonshiners that think he is the greatest thing to ever hit the hills. Spent all that time and money trying to put a still underground and wondered why it flooded and filled up with black mold!

OTOH They did build one fancy schmancy still, all the while trying to re-invent the wheel. Darned thing almost blew up!

Don't know anything about an underground operation, any black mold, anything blowing up, or who "those guys" are. I'm sure more than one runner had his fair share of problems...especially if you had to figure it all out by yourself...as in no one passing is down to you.

All I know is there were/are some pretty prominent folks on this earth who really liked what he made. He was famous, before he was "famous"...and his run-ins with the feds prove that.

One thing I do think Popcorn was wrong in saying...he'll never be the last shiner...ever. They'll always be someone to take his place. He was right in that it was a heck of a lot of work, which was his point in making the cd they produced.

I took it for what it was meant to be, a preservation of history. I'm glad he produced it and stuck his neck out to do it. However, I would like to see the un-cut version...you know...the one where they show everything from start to finish. :D:cheers:
