Title suggestions for first e-book?

I don't know if the topic has been brought up, but if you're going to make an e-book then please include formats such as: epub mobi. Those would allow us ereader owners (Kindle, etc...) to have a "go anywhere" version.

Hey Mike how about:

"The Art of Polishing Paint: A Detailed Guide to Creating the Perfect Finish." By Mike Phillips.

Chapter one could be something like "An introduction to Machine Polishing featuring the Dual Action Polisher.

A kindle version as previously stated would be pretty cool.

just something i threw out

I think the following sentence of yours was very poignant, (in fact, you even bold-faced it) and could be used as the main title of your series:

"There's definitely a difference between people that buff out cars because they get paid to do it and people that buff out cars because they have a passion for the craft whether they get paid or not."

Something along the lines of:

A Passion for the Craft

The Art of Polishing by Mike Phillips

Volume I: Dual Action Polishers

Then, Volume II could be the Rotary Polishers. Volume III could be the art of Jeweling, etc......

It's clear, concise, sounds/looks professional, grabs attention, stirs emotion, and also brands your name.....

Just a thought...

A Comprehensive Guide to the Dual Action Polisher

Because this is directed towards people that are new to machine polishing, I think an appropriate name would be:

Detailing With Confidence

I know that before I bought my PC7424XP, I was nervous that I might possibly be making a very expensive mistake. It was after reading a lot of your articles and watching your videos that I gained enough confidence to not only place that first (large) order with Autogeek, but to actually get out in my garage and put the polisher to the paint.

Take a page from Donald Trump: "The Art of The Detail."

Or perhaps something a bit more inventive:

"The Dynamics of Dual Action Paint Correction"

"Accessible Perfection: DA Polishers Explained"

"Clean isn't good enough" or "When clean isn't good enough"

I'll take royalties in the form of high end detailing supplies or perhaps a wax named after me:dblthumb2:

First... thank you to everyone that's chimed in, lots of GREAT BRAINSTORMING and in the same manner... lots of great suggestions.

Yancy is so tech-savvy, we think his brain is going to explode somedays...

He has the link to this thread and I'm confident that whatever can be done will be done.

Wow!

That's nice Gary!

:)

Thanks, Mike.

You do know that you answered your own question to the first post/title?

The key was this will be part of a series. That's why I replied with The Art of Polishing Paint Series as the name of the series and A User's Guide to the DA Polisher as the title to this part of the series.

PM me if you would like me to do a quick scan before publication (I have 15 yrs. experience as a sr. tech writer/publications specialist).

Good point...

The problem sometimes can be that a person can be so close to the project that they can't see the forest through the trees... I'm my own worst proofreader because I already wrote all the copy that sometimes my eyes just get glazed over.

Nick, here at Autogeek proofread most of the text and easily found simple mistakes, like typing the word form when I wanted the word from. Spell check won't help for simple mistakes like that, reading the text aloud is how I usually find innocent mistakes.

That would scare me... I'm nowhere near your level of expertise and experience when it comes to writing. I've taken classes on Technical Writing and not only is it a hard style to master it bores the heck out of me and most people. I practice conversational, casual writing, the style of typing just like the person was sitting across from you and you type how you would talk.

I would love to have a real seasoned pro read it and even tweak it but at the same time it would be a very humbling experience.
