Hello
We detail at a golf course on weekends for over a year now. I have had only 3 complaints from the same customer out of over 100 cars detailed in the last year.
Our 3 complaints are from 1 customer (refusing service from now on.)
This last complaint he said we pulled the car up on the curb. It is a 2009 infiniti g37.
Without going into details , I know we did not do this. I was sitting 10 feet away from the car as one of my employees parked it, and we were VERY aware of what customers car this was. We would seen and heard this. I have known the driver for this for well over 13 years as a friend and work associate -- If he messed up he would have told me ina second.
But
This happened 3 weeks ago and the customer got back to me with an outrageous estimate.
The General Manager of the club said the customer came and got him to show him it was on the curb, so the GM of course will side with his customer. He has also asked that we deal directly with this customer (I know from the last manager that this customer complained about everything...)
The estimate is for $720.35
Parts 60
body labor 6.3 hours at 46 289.80
paint labor 4.1 hours at 46 188.60
paint supplies 4.1 hours @ 28 114.80
tax 47.13
total 720.35.
You cannot see the damage unless you are laying on the ground.
I have (or am attempting to attach pictures -- this is in no way representing my work :0 -- this was taken on Saturday (3 weeks later).
I made the mistake of canceling my insurance -- I simply cannot afford it right now and am bleeding money lately. == less customers in the last few months and need to pay employees -- hell i cant even pay myself for this site for the last 2 months.
Is this estimate to high in your opionion? What would you do.. Im so angry and all that I am ready to walk away from this and call it a day and go back to my day job.
Thanks.
Just need opinions.
