August 17th makes day 48 of the year 2011 it's been over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Toasty!
50 days in 1 year is the current record, set in 1980.

If the forecast holds true, Saturday will be a record setting day.

we have finally gotten a break from that type of heat like a week and a half ago, What a relief!
SO I don't envy you...

AT ALL!

Car showed 98 degrees in South Florida, once you add in the humidity its gotta be 100+. Even the pool seems too warm and not as refreshing lately.

Thankfully we've only had a day or two of 100 degree heat here. Last year we had a few more, the year before a few more, and I believe it was the summer of 2007 we had a record two weeks straight of over 100 degree days. Although it seems like the news and weather people are freaking out about the "really hot temps outside" this has probably been one of the coolest summers in my recent memory. Makes me think someone is paying the local news people to over exaggerate how hot it really is...

So pixelmonkey, you must live in the DFW area? I'm in N. Dallas and I haven't buffed a car since 4th of July weekend. It took 3 days of getting started at dawn and packing up at 10:30am.

Absolutely brutal.

I was thankful on monday morning it was nice and cool at 72 degrees.
started on a car at 7:15am and after the wash and clay we were able to complete the polishing just after 10:00am.

if I only had the 15,000 + sq ft garage with centeral hear and air... it would be easy!

I'm in the DFW area and I saw on the news we've were in 4th place for the most days over 100 in a year. I think we were going to tie 3rd today. I think we are at 53 days over 100 so far

There has been only one day this year that has hit 80 degrees where I live (Seattle). I wish it was 100 here.

Eh, we had a few 100 degree days in a row a couple summers ago and I was walking around in it. Hot, but I liked it.

The temps in the L.A. basin have been hovering between the mid-70's to low-80's this whole summer. And it's currently 66 degrees.
