interesting read

I know...I'm one of those that gets rape every paycheck by Uncle Sam. I do not own a house, I do not have kids (can't afford them :D), so I get the stick instead of the carrot...is $20/hr too much money??? What a joke...:(

I read it back when it came out. It brings up an interesting point. If the middle class and lower class are forced to make sacrifices (with the budget cuts), why aren't the wealthy also forced to make sacrifices? Another interesting number is that the 400 wealthiest Americans pay a 17% income tax rate, including Warren Buffet. Why? Because most of their income is derived from capital gains and capital gains are taxed at, you guessed it, 17%.

I think we should be more concerned with the nearly 50% of households who pay 0% in income tax.... Sounds like Obama's Koolaid is making its rounds.

:xyxthumbs:.....

Just because someone makes more money doesnt mean they should be taxed more.

I agree but why do the ones with less resources should be taxed 2 or 3 times more? It just doesn't make sense :dunno:

True thats why I believe it should even across the board no matter what you make a year it will be X amount of taxes. The more you work/money you earn the more you keep.

Flat tax wil never happen no matter how much sense it makes to us peons. Those with the loot are the ones that grease the palms. Congress, for sale to the highest bidder. :nomore:

My favorite part of the article..."My friends and I have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly Congress."

I wish I was in Warren Buffett's shoes...

Maybe I should ask him to switch paychecks for a week or two..:awesome:
