Which Quick Detailer you use?

poorboys wipe and wash. the best. you can use it on anything. doesnt add cloudy wax but doesnt take anway ethier.

Optimum Instant Detailer (OID).

Pros: Nice gloss, good smell, dilute-able.

Cons: Sometimes streaks (haven't figured out why yet).

I just use the Mother's that came with my clay kit...it does a decent job, but I want to try UWW+, ONR and the PB mentioned by ballfan4141...I'm just waiting for the right deal :D

Darks: OID or Griots Speed Shine
Lights/Metallics: Poorboys Spray Gloss, Z6 or FK425

If I'm not feeling like doing a full on waxing I use Meguair's ultimate QD while drying followed by Meguair's ult quik wax. Works well for my cars, a 2001 and a 2011.

Keeps changing, but over the years:
Moose Clearkote Quickshine
Pinnacle Crystal Mist (original)
DP Final Gloss
WG Spritz Sealant (current)

MIL's car
Aquawax

Megs UQD and Final touch seem to be what I reach for right now but that could change tomarrow!

FK 425, Meguiars QD...no complaints on either product. The Meguiars products are nice because you can go to Walmart to purchase whenever you need to restock.

I've been using Finish Kare 425 the past few weeks and really like the results I'm getting. I work near a construction site and have noticed less dust settling on the finish after using FK425, so I'm thinking the anti-static claims are somewhat legit. It also leaves the finish feeling very slick and looking great.

Was using Meguiars QD & now changed to Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine (DG 921).

Optimum (OIDE) is my current favorite and mainly used as a drying aid. The paint surface feels even slicker the next day.

For quick detailing between hose and bucket washes; ONR, UWW+ or OOC.

I personally prefer hose and bucket washes and finishing with either OIDE or OCW.

I often use Megs Final Inspection or clay detailing strength ONR when compounding and want to inspect the paint surface before polishing.

i used to use megs consumer quick detailer in the red spray bottle, and used other consumer brands but i just switched to the lovley coconut scented meguiars D155 last touch detailer and its pretty darn good for my uses, leaves a nice gloss, easy to apply and wipe off(love my atomizing airwick sprayer i cleaned for QD's) dont streak on paint but hot windows it streaks, but it could be due to my unclayed windows, have not noticed streaking on warm paint. all in all its a good product for my uses and its not a replacement for a quick spray wax

If you use a QD right after buffing all of a paste wax off to make sure there's no wax residue left alter the bonding of the paste wax?
